- Type- Genderless!Kris x Genderless!Sickly!????????!Reader.

Warning! This is a sad chapter. I showed my friend Yuno- Kun. I got approval for sadness level.

 ❖ Your Pov❖ 

I was a sickly child. I was in and out of the hospital. I finally was put into the hospital for a long time. An illness made me unable to go outside. I longed for the days I played with my friends. Noelle...Kris....heck even Berdly. Ms. Toriel would come over sometimes with Kris so we can talk. These past few days I feel less ill. Today was my birthday so Ms. Toriel and Kris came over. 

A gentle knock can be heard.

"Come In!" I say weakly. 

The door creaks open. Ms. Toriel enters. Kris behind her.

"K-kris! cough" I say coughing.

"Y/n!" Kris says running over to my bedside.

"Kris..!" I say sitting upwards in my bed.

"Y/n. I am glad I was able to come over." Toriel says putting her bag down.

"Y-yeah," I say smiling.

"Well, I'll be outside if you need me. You guys deserve to talk for a while." Ms. Toriel says getting up.

"Y/n how are you?" Kris says gently.

"Cough Cough Still being shy?" I say laughing causing me to cough.

"..Yeah." They say.

"Well, how have you been..?" I ask.

"It's been better. Since you were put into the hospital a girl named Susie became my friend" Kris says smiling.

"What cough else?" I say.

"Then we played in the dark world," Kris says excitedly.

"W-what? I missed playing there..!" I say laying down.

"We made a placeholder for you until you come back!" They say sitting down.

"Kris that's amazing. I hope I come back soon." I say giggling.

The nurse comes in.

"Sorry child but visiting hours are over." The nurse says.

"Oh okay," Kris says grabbing their stuff and starts to leave.

"Bye Bye Y/n." They say leaving the room

I lay down. The nurse tells me to rest or else another one of those attacks will come. I listen and sleep. I dream about going outside to play with Kris and their friends. I remember smiling. Soon the nurse wakes me up telling me the good news.

"Hello, honey." The nurse says smiling.

"..?" I say looking at her still tired.

"Today is the first day you're allowed to go outside." The nurse says smiling.

"What!?" I say surprised.

"Your condition is improving so the doctor is allowing you to play outside today." The nurse says handing me a note.

"Dear Y/n, I have seen your condition has improved. I believe you can play outside today. Please enjoy this day. Signed- Doctor Soy" I read. (A/n Yuno you know this cameo.)

I start to cry.

"Hic Tell Doc. Soy I said thank you." I say as tears slid down my face.

"Honey don't cry! I called Ms. Toriel to bring some friends for you to play with." The nurse says with a gentle smile.

"Thank you!" I say hugging her.

She hugs back.

"Now honey get ready they'll come back soon." The nurse says smiling.

I change into something good for the outdoors and I get up. I could feel my energy rising. Nothing could go wrong today! I run out of my room for the first time. I see Ms. Toriel, Kris, and a purple girl.

"Oh, here she is." The nurse says as I run over.

"Ms. Toriel! Kris!" I say happily.

"Hello Y/n this is Susie." Ms. Toriel says as she shows me the purple haired girl.

"Hello..." She says.

Kris smiles.

"Let us go play in the park," I say.

"Great Idea Y/n. C'mon lets go to the park" Ms. Toriel says leading us out of the building.

During the car ride we all talk. I tell them I am so excited. I learn stuff about Susie and what I missed. I smile, but my head hurts a lot. I have to forget. Doc. So let me outside today! I can't wait to thank her myself. Soon we reach the park. It was a very windy day.

"Let us play!" I say.

"I'll sit here if you need me." Ms. Toriel says sitting down on a bench.

We start to play. We played tag and in the Dark World Kris talked about! Ralsei and Lancer are so adorable! Soon my chest hurts more. Then even more. It hurts so bad...I collapse in pain. I start to cough blood. I start to cry. Kris runs over to me clearly worried.

"Y/n are you okay?!"

I could barely speak because of the throbbing pain

"Kris...cough.....get Torie-" I say with the strength I have

I slip in and out of conscious. I could hear running and a worry shouts from Kris. With the last of my memory, I could hear Kris beside me crying. Susie panicking. Toriel on the phone. Then I can't see at all.....

❖ Kris' Pov❖

I sit down next to Mom and Susie. When Doctor Soy saw the condition Y/n was in. She told us to stay here. Y/n was taken to the intensive care unit. My tears still watering. I knew Y/n was is so much pain, but I didn't expect this. Soon the doctor comes out with a grim look

Mom seems to be worried. Susie, I think she doesn't know how to comprehend this

"Hello, Ms. Toriel," Doctor Soy says walking over to us.

"Doctor please tell me what happened!" Mom says begging the doctor.

"Y/n is in a coma, we had to put them in one for the survival..."
"What do you mean!??!"

"They would have died if we didn't put them in one. They were pushing their body to the breaking point." Doc says.

"No...." Mom says crying.
I ask the doctor a question I hoped that had a happy ending

"Will they live doc..?" I ask

The doctor looks down on me. Putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Child they might die...." Doc says

I. I-i-I could feel tears streaming down my face. My vision became blurry. I always knew I well had some feelings about them, and I sit down. Trying to calm down. I can't. They might die! Soon Doctor Soy walks away from a petrified nurse. A few hours later.....

"Ms. Toriel...." Doctor Soy says looking grim...

"What?!?!" She says knowing that expression.

"Y/n...sadly died." Doctor Soy says.

Mom loved Y/n like her own child. She erupted in tears. I started crying too...Then I wake up. I see Y/n beside me.

"Kris you're awake! You had a fever."  Y/n says feeling my forehead.

"You scared me, dummy! You made C/n cry." Y/n says as a child runs inside.

A.n C/n means Child's Name

"Waahhh! You made me sad!" C/n says jumping on top of me.

"Oof," I say as I feel that body slam on me.

"Are you okay honey..?" Y/n asks me laughing.

"Yeah I had a strange dream," I say getting upwards. I pick up C/n.

"So it's just a dream...."
