Day by Day

Part One

Since day one, Day has been the most loving and happiest girl ever. She loved helping people. It always put a beautiful smile on her face. She always helped people out of horrible situations. It's horrible she couldn't help the most important person to her, before something disgraceful happened.

"Oh, no. Nononononononono!" Day cried, standing in the bathroom. Day is 22 years old and lives with her , not to mention, her horrible, boyfriend. She's been feeling sick for the past few days, and after talking with her cousin/best friend, Iyisha, she decided to take a pregnancy test. Day always dreamed of being a mom. She loved kids with all her heart. Unlike her boyfriend who hates kids. "I can't tell Jacob." Jacob is the reason Day was scared to have a child. The two met at a church youth camp and started talking, and soon after that they started dating. Once things became very serious and bad choices were made, Jacob became very abusive. The only reason Day is still with him is because her mother, which passed away, really liked him when they met. Day ran to get her phone from bedroom so she could call Iyisha, but someone just got home. "Day? Are you home?" Jacob yelled from the kitchen. Day quickly ran back to the bathroom to grab the test to hide it. If Jacob found out that Day was pregnant, who knows what he would do. Day quickly put the test in her purse and ran to the kitchen to greet Jacob. "Hi babe, sorry I was using the restroom. How was your day?" Day asked hugging him from behind. "Crap. You know that promotion I was expecting? Guess who didn't get it!" He started yelling. Day let go and went around to the other side of the counter so she could face him. "I'm sorry Jacob." Day said reaching across the counter to place her hand on his arm. "It's whatever. Did you clean the bathroom?"Jacob said, getting an attitude. "Of course I did." Day answered. "Good, show me." Jacob said walking around. "I really need some wate-" Day tried saying but got interrupted by Jacob grabbing her by the hair and screaming "NO! You NEED to show me the bathroom!" And with that, Jacob drug Day to the bathroom as she cried.

It's been a few weeks since Day found out she was pregnant. Iyisha was starting to get worried because every time she saw Day, she saw more bruises. "Day, I think it's time you end things with Jacob." Iyisha said. The two of them were on their way back to Days house after a doctors appointment. "I think so too. I'm just scared." Day replied, keeping her eyes on the road. "I know Day, I'll stay with you if you want. Just incase something happens." Iyisha said placing a hand on Days shoulder. "Would you?" Day asked, just to be sure. "Of course.." Iyisha said.

That night was the worst night of Days life. Iyisha and Day got home a little late because Iyisha wanted to spoil Day with a trip to the mall to look at baby clothes. When the two of them walked into the house, they were greeted by a very VERY angry Jacob.. That was holding a positive pregnancy test. Day tried explaining to him that she was fixing to tell him, but he wouldn't listen. Things escalated very quickly. Jacob grabbed Day by her hair and drug her to the back yard. Iyisha tried helping. She fought. She screamed, but Jacob pushed her back into the house, twisting her ankle. Iyisha, still in lots of pain grabbed her now cracked phone and called the cops. By the time the cops got there it was too late. Jacob ran off, leaving Day there beaten up and Iyisha trying her best to keep her conscious. Day was rushed to the hospital with Iyisha beside her.
