Day by Day

Part 4 (last chapter)

Today is Day and Greysen's 3 year anniversary and Day is very excited. Grey and Day have had many conversations about having kids. Both of their minds were set on fostering and then adopting two kids. On their anniversaries the two always spend the day together. Day is gonna talk to Grey about it again at Donut Man, their favorite breakfast place!

"Well, if it isn't my favorite couple. Yall want the usual?" Miss Eve greeted the two. Miss Eve owns Donut Man and she is amazing! "Of course Miss Eve!" Greysen said as him and Day sat down at the bar. "Can I get a tuna bagel and a tuna croissant!" Miss Eve yelled to the workers in the back. "Coffee and a chocolate milk?" Eve asked. "You would think this is our favorite breakfast place or something." Day said laughing as she got up to get her coffee and Grey's chocolate milk. "That will be $10 young man." Eve said sticking her hand out to Greysen. "Here ya go!" Grey said handing her a $10 bill. "Thank you! Happy anniversary by the way you two." She said looking at the two as Day walked back to her seat. "Thank you Miss Eve." Day said smiling as she sat down. "Thank you ma'am." Grey said as he took his drink from Day. "No problem my love." Day said "So, I need to talk to you about something." Day said putting her coffee down after she took a sip. "Okay, what's up?" Grey said turning his body to face hers. "I've been talking to God, and I think it's time we look into fostering some kids." Day said holding Greysen's hands. "Oh my goodness really?!!" Greysen said excited as he jumped out of his seat. "I had a dream last night that two kids, an older boy and a younger girl, lived with us. It was Christmas and for their gift we adopted them." Greysen said quietly as he sat back down. "Really?" Day said whispering almost in tears. "Yes babe! Let's do this! Let's do this TODAY!" Greysen said grabbing Days shoulders and shaking them a bit. "God is so freaking amazing man." Day said giving Greysen a big ol bear-hug. "Yes he is." Greysen said hugging her back.

It's been a little over a year, Day and Greysen have been Fostering two kids, A 15 year old boy named Johnathan and a 6 year old girl named Ayah. They are the sweetest kids in the world, everything Day and Greysen prayed for. It's Christmas day and Greysen and Day have a surprise for their kids. "Johnathan.. Ayah.." Greysen called. The kids were upstairs getting dressed after opening up all of their presents. "Yes Sir?" The two yelled back in unison. "Can you come down here really quick? Your mom and I have something else for you guys we didn't put under the tree." Greysen replied. "Coming!" They said. The two hurried down the stairs and into the living room where Day and Greysen each were holding a box. "Come sit on the couch." Day said setting the box down and grabbing the kids hands, leading them to the couch. Day's dad and sister were there along with Greysen's Grandmother. "What is it?"Johnathan asked sitting down. "Open up and you guys will find out." The two kids eagerly opened their boxes revealing a piece of paper confirming that they are adopted. "Oh my gosh, Mom.. Dad.. are you serious?" Johnathan said standing up. "Of course baby." Day said pulling him into a hug. "I'm gonna be adopted?" Ayah asked covering her mouth as she started crying. "Yes, you are honey." Greysen said picking her up and hugging her. "Ayah! We're getting adopted!" Johnathan said grabbing Ayah and hugging her tightly. "Mamma, Daddy?" Ayah said getting her parents attention. "Yes baby?" Day said, getting on her knees to reach Ayahs level. "This is the best present ever!" Ayah said jumping into her mama's arms. "Yeah, thank you guys so so so so so much." Johnathan said with tears rolling down his face hugging his dad.

This is a story about a family.

Loving, happy, kind, and strong.

They will break through it all.
