'What is going on today? I noticed the change as I came into the school' Susan said as she dropped her book on the teachers table and sat down.
'Of course Suzy, how would an ordinary omega know what is going on in the pack' Cole Black sneered and more than half the class burst into laughter.
'Be respectful Cole, I might be an ordinary omega, oh great future alpha but I would like you to know that as long as you are at pack school, I control your report card' she paused with a raised eyebrow and smiled sweetly,
'you know what I mean, don't you?' the class ooh-ed as Cole glared at her, his wolf wanting to take over and rid of the insolent subject.'Now as I was saying, can someone tell me what is going on' she questioned again looking at her students, hands folded on her chest.
'All the alphas are visiting today to prepare for the inter-wolf party taking place next month as we are the host of the year' Joy quietly replied.
'The inter-wolf party! Is it already that time of the year? Wow!' she mused quietly to herself though all her students could hear anyway- courtesy of their blasted werewolf senses. She sighed deeply.
The inter-wolf party was a three days long party that was supposed to be for all weres to relate but it became a matchmaking party after lots of them met each other at the party. It worked well for majority of the werewolves as they got to meet their mates and socialize with each other as bonus but why... just why, an 'ordinary' omega could not find her mate even after six years of attending the party was beyond her.'You have to attend Suzy, who knows one of the newly shifted pups could be your mate' Cole snickered along with his classmates.
'And this is the part where you shut up and listen to your teacher fetus!' she snapped.
'what did you just call me' he stood menacingly.
'Sweetheart you are not yet shifted. Alpha or no alpha I AM YOUR SUPERIOR IN THIS CLASSROOM! If you want to prove your authority to me, do it after you shift and I am in the pack house. Until then shut up, sit down and let's start today's class' she said and walked towards the marker board.
Taking a deep breath as he lost once again to the weak omega, he sat down pacifying his wolf,
'All in good time Max, all in good time. Once you come out, we'll demand for her neck' his wolf nodded and sat back in his mind.

Susan got back home and had a long hot bubble bath sipping wine as she rested in the bathtub. One of the perks of being an omega, you are not important enough to be wanted in the pack house. Though her Alpha -Dylan Black was very caring and kind but the other members of the pack were another story entirely. Someone once told her when she was young, 'Do you know what people who are low hate the most? It's people lower than themselves'.
Once she became twenty, she was grateful her parents had been too timid and intimidated to live in the pack house.
.......She woke up with a jump to the sound of howling and saw that she slept in the bathtub.
Again.
As she got out and wore her bathroom robe, she considered moving a pillow and blanket to the bathroom as it was fast becoming her sleeping place. The howling continued and she stuck her head out of the rooms window, not that she could see anything or automatically know what the howling was about. The wind blew softly as she thought back to her younger self, when she was still innocent and naïve. She had hated her parents for not living in the pack house or at least giving her a younger one to keep her company. One of those days, she had packed her things and moved to the pack house so that she could belong, she could become friends with the pack house pups and then she wouldn't be looked at strangely or subtly bullied again. Alpha Lucas- Dylan's father had welcomed her happily and given her a room to share with Sasha who was one year her junior even a nurse to represent her guardian in the pack house. Three days of not so subtle staring, loud whispers and snickers was all it took her to run as fast as she did when she left to return home. She ran into her parents living room and straight into her mothers' arms tears in her eyes and hugged her tightly,
'Here is truly home' she had mumbled.
Her parents never asked why she came back, of course they must have had a very good idea since they were once youngsters.
She sighed as she closed the window and laid on her bed in fetal position as memories flitted through like a mind movie.
What made it all worse was that she never, ever and ever again heard or saw her wolf after her first shift. It was told that the wolf always gave an encouraging push to its human but hers just didn't even have enough in it to share with her.The howling ceased and she closed her eyes to sleep. Just as she was about to fall into the dark abyss of unconsciousness, she heard a knock on her door, a scratch and then it was quiet again. Sitting up she wondered if she had imagined or dreamt of the sound or if it was real. Waiting for a few minutes, the scratching was more persistent and she stormed her way to the door ready to give a piece of her mind to whoever decided past 2 in the morning was the perfect time to visit in wolf form. She unlocked the latches and pulled at the door with all her might but as it flung open she couldn't help thinking... if I was a stronger wolf, I'd have ripped the door from the wall with that strength... looking out into the dark street lit by the moon and the security lamps she called out, 'Who's there!' Silence was her answer not until she was about to close the door did she hear the whining from below and looked at the wolf lying down at her door step.
'Shift. Who are you?' the size of the wolf in front of her was an obvious confirmation that whoever it was outranked her and could easily have her throat for been commanded but the sleep and anger in her was not able to compute that information to her brain. The whining continued as the wolf just stared at her until she couldn't take the emotional blackmail anymore and groaned, 'Come on in and please stop that whining, my head is pounding enough as it is' she opened the door wide as the big... no enormous black wolf pranced into the house like it was his, went straight for her baby blue bean bag and laid down with its head in between its front paws.
Suzy gave a cursory glance as she observed it discreetly...
He doesn't look wounded... Is he a rogue? A pervert or psychopath who loves killing weak females who live alone!! She thought as she took in his size, it wouldn't even be a fight, the were in front of her would rip into her before she could take two steps. Shrugging, she dragged her legs back to her room and wondered if it was the wine she drank that was making her fearless enough to make such a stupid decision of letting him in.
Throwing all care to the wind, she decided to leave her room door unlocked and went to her bed, Well, if he wants to kill me then I'll gladly accept it. I doubt my wolf or mate are ever coming with thought she sighed and slept off.
