Charmed Legacy
Chapter Two/Part One
Phoebe Halliwell gazed out of her bedroom window of her luxury penthouse suite, smiling as snowflakes literally rained down from the heavens, offering the glimmering hope of a white Christmas in San Francisco for the first time in what seemed like forever. Finally, after having come out of her trance and snapped herself back to reality, she walked over to her closet, extracted a long-flowing, red lacy dress, placed both feet inside, pulled it up, and after having zipped herself inside, grabbed the white scarf and wrapped it around her neck, feathers blowing lightly in the air, then stood in front of her full-length mirror, admiring herself.
"Well, how do I look?" she asked Coop, doing her best profile.
"Absolutely stunning, my dear," he replied, then took her into his arms and began spinning her around, a very beautiful left leg exposed all the way up to her thigh, thanks to the split in the side of the fabric.
"Liar!" she joked, then grabbed the mistletoe and held it over her head. "Kiss me, you fool! Before I turn you into a toad. Oh, wait. That's Piper's schtick. Sorry."
"Gladly, my love," he laughed, and kissed her, anyway, as though they were still in dating status.
"Now that's the way to do it. Never lose that passion, my love," Phoebe warned him, smiling. "Or else I will have Piper turn you into a toad. And that's a promise. You hear me?"
Hearing applause, she spun around to see three young ladies standing just inside the doorway, each one cheering wildly.
"Wow!" P.J. said, eyeing her husband. "Terry, why don't you ever do me like that? Uncle Coop is so romantic. Mom's lucky to have him."
"But I'm a demon" he argued. "And he's a Cupid. Which automatically makes him the romantic type. Not me."
"You're half-demon, half-human, remember? And that human side better start showing itself a little more often. You got that, Jack?" she snapped, slapping him playfully on his shoulder. "Unless you want me to have Aunt Piper turn you into a toad. Or better yet, I'll have Aunt Paige orb those precious jewels of yours into a volcano. How'd you like that?"
"What? Don't look at me," Phoebe laughed, throwing both of her hands up in the air. "You knew she was a firecracker when you first met her. And you divorced your wife for her. And now you're going to marry her. So, deal with it. Oh, and by the way, no more divorces. You marry her, you're stuck with her. Forever. Got that?"
"Yeah, got that, Jack?" P.J. snapped.
"You're just like your mother, you know that?" he joked, then decided to suck it up and follow Cupid's lead, taking her into his arms and spinning her around, then kissed her with all of the passion that he could muster, earning applause from everyone, including her sisters and their boyfriends.
"Why, Terry, dear, that's the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me," P.J. finally said, smiling. "And you demons sure now how to take a girl's breath away when you want to. And you better want to more often. Got it? Good. Now, are we all ready to go out? The show starts in forty-five minutes. And it's snowing big time. We better get moving."
"Got the tickets right here, my little Ladybug," Phoebe said, kissed her lightly on her cheek, then waved them in the air as she headed towards the exit. "I wouldn't miss this for the world."
"Hey, wait a minute."
"What, honey?"
"Where's Sheridan?"
"Who?"
"Your girlfriend."
"P.J."
"What? Mom, she likes you. We're not stupid, you know. Are we girls?"
