Rwby fan fic: the beginning

It was almost the end of the year now. we had gone through school with all of the hijinks and such, Blake and yang had gotten closer, except every once in a while Blake would give yang a death stare when yang talked to some guys. but I knew that yang would never date them. it was pretty obvious that they were in love with each other just neither could see it. Weiss and I had tried getting them together but they are both just so oblivious. but I couldn't just say that about them, when Weiss and I had also gotten closer, once she had excepted me as leader things started to look up. we got to know each other and Weiss had told me a lot about herself.

We were hanging out in the library when Yang's phone went off "hello, yeah, yeah, alright, be there in ten" she got up and looked at Blake "come on, we have to go" Blake looked confused as yang grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the library. Weiss and I gave each other a look then went back to our books. I heard Weiss clear her throat, I looked up from what I was reading and stared at her. "um... well..." she stalled "what are you reading" she asked quietly, I looked at what I was reading "no game, no life" I told her she kept asking me questions about it and I couldn't stop talking about it, then she asked how I felt about the world after reading this.

"well this book got me thinking, and I had this thought 'life is a survival game we all must play' that's how I view the world now"

I told her. she looked at me with an unknown look. "what's wrong" I asked worried. she shook her head and went back to her book. I let it go and went back to my book. we were reading for a while when suddenly Weiss was on my shoulder, I looked up and noticed someone had pushed her, the stranger in black was walking away "HEY! apologise to her" I told them. They turned slowly and I caught a glimpse of big glasses and a moustache. I looked at the person closely, I saw a flicker in the corner of my eye and looked up, there was a black bow that twitched a little, my eyes widened in realisation of what had just happened, and I tried holding in my laughter.

The 'mystery person' walked away quickly, I looked down at Weiss who was still leaning on me. she looked up at me and quirked a brow. "um, sorry, I'll get off you now" she said, my hand went around her shoulder and pulled her closer to me, "it's alright, you don't have to move" I told her. I felt a pull towards Weiss and right now I was just following my instincts. We sat like that for a while, Weiss's face was red as a tomato.

It was dark now and we seemed to be the only ones left, Weiss had fallen asleep still leaning on me. I was about to wake her up when I froze, 'it was quiet, to quiet' (yay lines always wanna say but never had chance to #4 said) I looked around and suddenly a black shadow was in front of me, I grabbed Weiss and jumped back, waking her in the process. we looked around, we were surrounded by at least 6 Faunus dressed in black, there ears and tail the only things identifiable about them. they started to move towards us, trapping us in. I felt my blood begin to boil, I was getting pissed right now, "stay back" I warned them. they stopped for but a moment before continuing their advance. my eyes began to hurt, I closed them for a second, and when I opened them again everything looked clearer.

The lights in the library had been cut but I could see perfectly. "move bodyguard" one of the Faunus, a male, said. Weiss looked at me "bodyguard" she questioned, I felt something in the back of my throat, a growl came from me and they all froze, "get back now" I told them. They looked at each other and then leaped at us. I grabbed crescent rose and it unfolded, I charged at them and turned my scythe around so the blunt bit would hit them, the one I hit fell to the ground holding her stomach, it didn't look like she could move.

They all charged at me at once, I used my soled and sped past them all hitting each of their backs, causing them to fall to the floor in pain, Weiss looked at me, fear and admiration was in her eyes, but also confusion and hurt. I looked to her and noticed that one Faunus was behind her, I felt rage course through my whole body, I ran as fast as I could and before he could even touch her, he was on the floor in pain with me standing over him. Weiss looked at me and then collapsed, I caught her in my arms and took her back to the room, yang and Blake no where to be seen. I laid her on her bed and sat next to her. rubbing my hand up and down her arm soothingly and softly. All I could think is how tomorrow will be one heck of a day.
