Ever since the incident, team RWBY hasn't left the academy. Ruby was lying in Blake's bed, Blake now sleeping in Ruby's top bunk. she has been comatose since, Yang has hardly left her side, only doing so when Blake dragged her away. Weiss was lying in her bed, still recovering from her time spent in that building, she was almost fully recovered, so much so that she could get up and move around a bit now. those monsters had done a number on her, they had cut down the scar on her eye, making it wider and deeper. At night while she thought everyone was sleeping, she would sneak over to Ruby's side, her soft sobs hardly audible. even though she thought no one knew, Blake and Yang had always been awake, they didn't know if they should try to console the broken women or just let her be. after a while of this happening, Blake and yang had decided that they would sleep together on Yang's bed, to try and comfort each other from the pain that their teammates were dealing with.

After a couple of weeks, Blake and Yang had decided to go out and search for Ruby's mother, Yang knew that whatever happened to Ruby, her mother would no how to help. they entrusted Weiss with Ruby's care. as they left they looked back at beacon, wishing that none of this had ever happened.

Weiss was staring at Ruby's face, wishing that they had never come to save her. Weiss had no idea of what happened to Ruby, as Weiss was unconscious at the time, but all she knew is that if they had not come to save her, Ruby wouldn't be in this mess. Weiss reached her hand out and stroked Ruby's cheek. "I'm so sorry Ruby, I didn't even get to tell you" she whispered. Weiss started leaning in until her lips met Ruby's. a Lone tear slid down and dripped onto Ruby's cheek.
