Chapter II :: Girls Night Out

Once Yeri and I had driven to the cinema in Yeri's car, we immediately rushed to the counter, eager to get our food and scan our tickets.

" Ah, I'm so excited ! I've seen the trailer for this movie and haven't gotten the time to go and see it " Yeri huffed, stepping up to the counter once we reached the front of the line.

" Well, I'm glad I get to see it with you " I smile warmly, handing our tickets to the cashier, who registered our seats and got our popcorn and drinks ready.

" Jungkook's such a dick to be missing out on your date night. " Yeri added as my smile slowly faded at the mention of his name. " Remind me to talk to him once we get back " She said sternly, as I chuckled, shaking my head.

" Its fine, he's just caught up in his work and stuff, after all he is the future heir to his dad's company... " I sighed, smiling at the cashier once we got our food and drinks. Thanking the cashier, Yeri and I started to approach our theatre, as we made casual small talk on the way there.

Once seated, we made sure to restrain ourselves from eating all the popcorn before the movie started and chewed on some candy that we had sneaked in from our bags.

• During the Movie •

Crunching of popcorn and the casual sipping of straws filled the cinema. Since we were situated at the very back, we could clearly see there were mostly couples who came to watch the movie.

I sighed quietly, thinking how it could be Jungkook and I sitting here. I was still grateful that Yeri agreed to come with me, but still, deep inside of me I knew that I wanted Jungkook to be with me at least this once.

" Wah, I do gotta say- " Yeri whispered, " The Simon dude is kinda cute... " She said, slurping on her drink. I laughed, slapping her gently as people gave us weird looks, silently telling us to quiet down with their glares.

" What ? Not my problem you came at the same time as us- " Yeri grumbled, stuffing her mouth with popcorn as I chuckled, focusing back on the movie.

As the movie was almost at an end, Yeri abruptly nudged me, as I hissed, the sharp pain shocking me.

" Yah, what is it ! " I whisper-yelled in frustration, rubbing my side.

She shook her head, looking at the seats two rows ahead of us.

" Isn't that... " She stopped, her eyes widening.

" Jungkook ? "

I laughed, not caring if people returned their glares towards us. " Jungkook wouldn't be here, he's at work- " I say sternly, as I trusted him.

" He's sitting with another girl... " She said lowly, squinting her eyes in the darkly surrounded cinema.

I shook my head, looking at the direction she was looking at. " He wouldn't do that, he said he has no time for movies since he's so busy... " I said, tilting my head as the guy did resemble Jungkook a little bit.

I hid my face, as the guy who strangely resembled Jungkook walked out of the cinema with the girl he was with, following closely behind. I bunched my lips in slight frustration, low key convinced that the male was actually Jungkook. But then again, he wouldn't cheat on me...

Right ?

After the movie, we packed up our food, and dumped the remaining bits of trash into the bin, before heading out to the carpark to Yeri's car.

" That was a good movie, huh ? " Yeri said, breaking my train of thought.

" Huh ? O-oh, yeah " I nodded, heading to the other side of the car, as I slowly got into the passenger seat.

It was quickly approaching seven o'clock, as we pulled into my apartments parking lot. " Thanks for coming with my tonight, Yeri " You smile at her as she returns the smile.

" Its okay, who wouldn't pass up the opportunity for a free movie and food ? " She says teasingly, looking at her reflection in the rearview mirror.

I scowl playfully, hitting her shoulder gently as I hop out of the car. " I'll see you tomorrow " I chuckled, waving goodbye as I watched her drive off.

Pulling out my phone, I look for any missed messages or calls. I sigh, pulling out Jungkook contact and text him a short message.

You: Happy Anniversary Kookie 😘

Before more feelings of disappointment and self pity filled my mind, I tucked my phone safely into my pocket, making my way back up to my apartment.

I unlocked the front door, spotting the calendar by the entrance as I grimaced.

Tomorrow would be the day I dreaded the most...

...

Yes I know this chapter was shorter than the first, it was a filler chapter since I was replanning my plot :))

I promise the next chapter will be more dramatic and entertaining than this short ess chapter.
