Ice cream sandwiches, they were simple and could be eaten in a matter of minutes.

The ones at this place though were pretty big, bigger than a normal ice cream sandwich would be. It was more filling than their cake, as much as I knew I would never finish I still bought one, strawberry was always the best here.

It wasn't a total waste of money, it just meant I'd be sitting here longer. Carefully grabbing my plate from the other end I walked over to one of the empty tables, different than my usual spot but I stopped abruptly. He was here.

The boy was immersed deeply in his work, much like yesterday he was sitting in the same place. Papers and a plate of velvet cake. The only difference being that he wore a pair of glasses circular glasses right at the tip of his nose, I would be lying if I said it didn't suit him.

Oddly my eyes were still fixated in that direction as I carefully took a seat. It would've been a good time to look away because just moments later he whipped his head over in my direction.
Had he known?

"Hey, dumbass can't you see I'm working?",
a couple of people looked over in his direction making him wither back in his seat.

"The only supposed dumbass here is you", I paused and grinned, "...dumbass"
"I get that I look good but there's no reason to stare for that long", the boy was beyond what I'd call cocky, faltering his ego wouldn't bring much harm.

"Please, you look like the mutated version of harry potter"
"I-", he quieted down and glared, "I do not"

"Not so witty now, are you?", his face showed a strong display of annoyance, "What do you want?"

"Nothing", I said blandly and he sighed
"Then stop bothering me"

He shoved his cake to the side even further, I would've had three of those in the time he nibbled of the edge, "Why do you always eat the same thing?"

The boy set his pen down, "I thought you wouldn't bother me anymore"
"Sorry", I muttered and looked away.

"You've only somewhat known me for two days", he surprisingly continued, "What do you mean by always"

"Forgive me sir", I made sure to emphasize my sarcasm though I didn't look back at him, "Why did you order the same thing as you did yesterday"

A minute or two must've passed before he answered but it felt like a whole millennium,
"I just don't like trying new things"

I could say the same for myself, but not when it came to food,
"That's such a dumb answer", I groaned and slumped down in my chair, "Can't you even pretend to be the slightest bit interesting?"

"Why should I?", he was getting steamed by the minute-amusing, "It's not like I'm trying to impress anyone, especially not you"

So sour.
