The next day, Jungkook rushed to get the rest of his laundry done. He wanted his room to be neat for when Hoseok and Taehyug came over, mostly because they were suddenly his friends now even though they had previously been his bullies like two days ago.
"Jungkook!" His mom called from the kitchen, "I'm almost done making the snacks for you and your friends! Are you sure you don't want to bring your friends with you to the hospital? I'm sure Jiwon would love to meet them!"
"No, I'll just visit her when I don't have company." Jungkook called back, folding his clothed before ruining them again by dtuffing them in his drawers forcefully.
Jungkook had a lot of clothes, but not because he was rich. In fact, him and his family were pretty poor, just like the rest of the families that had kids attending Jungkook's highschool. All his clothes mostly didn't fit him anymore and ranged from when he was ten years old, till now.
"Okay! Well, they're here!" His mom called, probably looking through the peep hole of the door as she said, "Is that Kim Taehyung? He's grown so much~"
Jungkook slammed his drawers shut and put his final touches to his room before quickly waddling downstairs to see his mom, of course, looking through the peep hole. That was HER thing. She liked to stare at people through there till Jungkook came to open the door.
He made his way in front of his mom and she hurried to the kitchen to pretend she hadn't been lowkey judging them, and Jungkook opened the door. "Hey guys!"
Taehyung and Hoseok was standing on the porch without Jimin, since Jimin said he'd be a bit late. "Wassup~" Hoseok greeted cheerfuly with a big smile, seeming to be in a good mood, unlike Taehyung, who hd his hands shoved in the pockets of his hoodie with a dull expression.
"Hey." Taehyung greeted before pushing passed Jungkook without asking if he could come in.
"What's wrong with you?" Jungkook asked, his eyebrows furrowing, earning a laugh from Hoseok.
"He's just mad he lost at Oreo against me." Hoseok beamed, and Taehyung plopped onto the couch with his arms crossed.
"Huh? Oreo? Isn't that game for third graders?" Jungkook chuckled, closing he door behind them when Hoseok entered the house after Taehyung.
"Well, yeah, but instead of asking them out Taehyung has to kiss them." Hoseok said, sitting next to Taehyung on the couch and looking around the house.
"Oh, whose he have to kiss?" Jungkook asked.
"Your house looks like you have a nice mom. It smells like it too." Hoseok changed the subject randomly, and it worked.
Jungkook laughed a bit, seeming confused. "How can you tell?"
"A nice mom always cleans her house." Hoseok explained, "And cooks really good food before people come over." He said, turning around on the couch to look at the kitchen, finding Jungkook's mom walking towards them with soup and dumplings. "And I'm right! Woah! You make dumplings? Is that even korean food? I don't even know." The natural born citizen of korea, Hoseok, said as his hand dove right for a dumpling and ate one.
Jungkook's mom giggled, flattered and amused, "He's funny." She said, before pinching his cheeks. "So thin! Make sure you eat more even when the dumplings are gone. Make yourself at home." She told Hoseok, making him smile to himself, but then looked at Taehyung and smacked her lips. "Ah..." she said in sudden disapproval, "You look so grumpy."
"He's always like that." Jungkook insisted, sitting on the couch's arm, next to Taehyung.
"Am not." Taehyung argued, and this for some reason made Jungkook's mom laugh a little.
"Well~ okay," She said, "I'll leave you three alone. Make you you save ONE dumpling for Jimin, at least. That boy is too thin."
Although, Jungkook's mom thought everyone was thin... but isn't that most older asian moms?
"Okay! Take care!" Hoseok waved, already shoving another dumpling into his mouth.
Jungkook said his goodbyes to his mom and she soon left.
Jungkook sighed, "Finally," he took a seat next to Hoseok, and reached for a dumpling, "Maybe we should go upstairs? I already have everything set—"
And that's when Taehyung leaned over Hoseok, and kissed Jungkook's on the cheek.
