The angel first saw him in the cemetery, placing flowers at a grave of a woman called Mary. She listened to the man tell the grave how much of a great mother it was, wondering why humans talked to graves, they were stone slabs. The angel suddenly felt jealous, why did humans talk to graves, but not to angels?
Pushing the jealous thoughts from her mind, the angel continued to watch the man as he walked away from the grave and towards a small yellow car, where another man sat.
"It will be alright Levi, we'll come back next week" The man in the car said. Levi. The name repeated itself in the angels mind, over and over again.

A week had passed and the angel stayed in the same spot, waiting - for a reason she did not know - for Levi to come back. She stood with her hands over her eyes, like she was playing peek-a-boo with a small child, but could see through the gap between her stone fingers.
The same yellow car drove up the road and stopped in the same spot as it did the week before. Levi climbed out of the car with a bouquet of red roses.
"Hello mother, I brought you roses" Levi said, placing the red flowers against the grave. "Lisa is doing well, she misses you, as do I. Why do people die mum? It's unfair" The angel heard a strange noise come from Levi's mouth and realized he was crying. The angel felt a strange urge to go and comfort him, and was about to do it when she realized that she could not touch him, for it would send him back in time.
The angel was shocked when Levi straightened up and turned away from the grave, staring right at her. The angel turned to stone, waiting for Levi to blink or look away, so that she could move again. Levi looked down again and moved into the car.
The yellow two seat car drove off, and the angel could move again, her hands were no longer covering her eyes, one was down against her side, the other... Was reaching up, pointed at the direction of the car, longing for Levi to come back.

The angel had seen Levi four times, her feeling growing deeper and more terrifying the more she saw him. She didn't know what the feeling was, but it scared her. She wanted to be near Eli, to talk to him, to touch him, but she could not.
Levi had looked at her the four times he had been there, but he never seemed to see her, just looked at her as though she were just a statue, not a living, loving creature. The angel had thought up a plan during the time that Levi wasn't there and was to set it in motion as he was leaving.
The yellow car pulled up once more, in the exact same spot as it had the other times. Levi stepped out, flowers in hand and placed them at the grave, talking a little about Lisa, a girl that the angel had learned to be his sister.
As he turned, he looked at the angel, straight at the hands that covered her eyes. The angel froze and waited until Levi got in the car before she moved. As the car began to move, the angel moved to a near by tree.
While she was following the car, the angel realized something, something important. She was in love with Levi, a human, flesh and bone. She was in love with him, or what could be equivalent to love for a creature that could not touch.

The car stopped outside a block of flats and Levi got out, saying good bye to the man in the car that always drove him to and from the cemetery. The angel hid behind the corner or the block of flats, watching. Levi turned suddenly and his eyes met with the angel's. His eyes widened and he took a step back, blinking. The angel pulled her head away from the wall, where Levi would no longer be able to see her.
