Battle of the Couples

Kevin POV
"Let the games begin," I shouted, laughing. "The first thing you guys have to do is put on your shirts." Choni went inside to put on their T-shirts that I had boughten. Bughead on the other hand, did it right there. Jughead stood in front of Betty, holding up his shirt, so she could change. Then, he pulled off his shirt and put the other one on. He pecked Betty on the lips and they sat down. Choni came back outside.

"How the heck?" Toni began, but I cut her off.

"Okay now that our teams are dressed to impress, we're gonna start the challenges. The first one is a compliment battle. You will each get a bucket of compliments, cheesy pick up lines, and other things written on slips of paper. You must switch back and forth, taking a slip of paper and reading it. You will have one referee at each table to make sure no cheating is happening. Fangs, JB and Josie will be at Choni's table. Val, Sweet pea and Reggie will be at Bughead's table. Pop, you will go back and forth. Each judge has a clipboard where they tally points, based on true blushes, giggles, and overall real happiness. The points will be added up at the end to see who wins that round," I explained. "Any questions?" No hands went up so I finished, "On your marks, get set, go!"

Jughead POV
I grabbed a slip of paper first and read "Did it hurt?"

"When I fell from heaven?" Betty replied, giggling.

"Nah, when you fell for me," I finished. She smiled and her cheeks went pink. Sweet Pea wrote something on his clipboard, so did Reggie and Val.

Then Betts grabbed a paper, "Kiss me if I'm wrong, but dinosaurs still exist right?" I leaned across the table, kissing her, sweetly. She blushed, making me smile.

Toni POV
"Your hand looks heavy, can I hold it for you?" I said, "What the hell is this?" I rolled my eyes, but Cheryl was giggling and blushing.

"What does it feel like to be the most beautiful girl in the room?" Cheryl said, still smiling.

"I don't know," I replied, "Why don't you ask yourself." That one made both of us giggle. JB leaned over her clipboard and scribbled something down. Fangs and Josie did the same. I figured that was a good sign.

"Let me tie your shoe for you. We can't have you falling for anyone else," I read off the paper. "That's awful." That didn't even get a smile out of Cher.

Pop Tate POV
I went over to Bughead's table just in time to hear Jughead say, "Betts, are you from Jamaica?" She looked at him, confusion written all over her face. "Cause Jamaican me crazy." With that Betty burst into laughter and was blushing like crazy. I wrote a small tick on my clipboard and went over the Choni's table.

"Without you my life is like a broken pencil," Toni said, looking Cheryl dead in the eye, "pointless." This caused Cheryl to smirk and blush. I put a tick on there's too.

Kevin POV
"Alright couples, time is up!" I shouted. Everyone looked at me and I continued, "You will now have a break while we tally the points for that round. And there should be milkshakes coming out any minute for the contestants." As if on cue, a waitress walked out with four milkshakes, handed them out and went back inside.

I went over to the judges table and they handed in their score sheets. I quickly looked them over. We decided on a winner and I went back to the front.

"Okay, people, we have our winner... drumroll please!" I said, laughing slightly. Everyone banged the tables and as it stopped I finished, "BUGHEAD!" There were boos from Choni's table and cheers from Bughead's. "Our next challenge is a accapella battle. You basically go head to head and sing different songs back and forth. You have a few minutes to think up some songs. Each team will need three songs. Good luck!" I walked back to the judges table and sat down.
