"Junior, go get dressed, we're going to see grandma!" I yelled across the house.

Since our son's funeral, Arlo and I went to couple's counseling to clear up all of our misunderstandings. After a six months period, we found out I was pregnant again with another boy. I was scared of losing him like I lost Mateo but Arlo was excited. He and his mom made up when she found out she was going to be a grandmother. Because of the gunshot wound, I was carefully monitored during my pregnancy, but thankfully, everything went smoothly and we gave birth to Arlo Jr.. It was pretty big news for a while with tabloids and magazines. I stayed home for the most part, taking care of Junior until he was old enough for kindergarten, then I was back at the office helping Arlo, not that he needed it anymore. He was a component CEO in his own right. Junior was eight now, and already the most handsome little boy I'd ever laid eyes on. He was smart, too.

"What about dad?" Junior asked.

"We're going to meet him at the office and then go to Grandma's," I explained. He ran to his room to change out of his pajamas. We moved out of the penthouse and into a more suitable family home as well. That house held too many bad memories anyway. Tonight was the night where I would announce my news to Arlo and Clara. I was nervous but I knew I had no reason to be. She had finally accepted me as her daughter-in-law, but the woman still made me nervous. I sighed before sending Arlo a quick text.

"Junior!" I yelled. He came running around the corner.

"I'm here, I'm here," he said quickly. We went out to where the driver was already waiting by the car for us. Even though I told Arlo I wanted a simple life, there were still certain luxuries he wouldn't allow me to give up. We rode to the office to pick up Arlo before riding to his mom's house. The house Arlo's father used to own.

"It's nice to have you all over for dinner again," his mom said happily. Since we were already halfway through the meal, I figured it was a good enough time for my announcement. I stood nervously, making everyone's eyes turn to me.

"I'm pregnant again," I said quickly. There was a moment of silence before Arlo stood with a smile.

"We're pregnant?" He said happily and he came over to hug me. "How far along? When did you find out? Do you know boy or girl yet?" Arlo rambled happily. I chuckled.

"I just found out a few days ago, but I'm apparently 20 weeks along, and it's a girl," I answered his questions.

"Yay! Another grandbaby," his mom said happily.

"I don't want a sister. I don't want to have to share my stuff," Junior said indifferently. I shot him a look before rolling my eyes. That boy was spoiled rotten.

"Have you thought of any names yet?" Arlo's mom said, bringing me back to the table.

"Of course I want to discuss it with Arlo first but I was thinking Liliana. It was my mother's name," I explained. Arlo only smiled before kissing me gently.

"Ew, get a room!" Junior said disgusted. I chuckled as I pulled away from Arlo.

"Liliana it is," he smiled happily. This was never the plan, but it was my life. Somehow I overcame the intent to do what was second nature to me in order to keep the one I love. If ten years ago, you told me this would be my life, I would have never believed that one day I would be happily married and have children with someone who was originally my mark in a con. People like me don't often get a chance to find their true happiness.

Luckily, I found mine with Arlo.
