Cam sat on the chair by the door ready to leave when his dad arrived home.
Bash was all ready to yell at Cam about being late.
"Finsh your meal Cammy?" Bash asked.
Cam sighed he hated that nickname it was a girls name.
"Yeah I got water from the sink and took my vitamins." Cam mumbled.
Vitamins they were not it was something Bash was giving them to keep them dosile.
Cam and Johnny caught on when every time they take it all they want to do is sleep.
Bash had to start putting it in Johnny's Food to make sure he ate it.
"Good you packed too." Bash patted him on the back.
"It was on the to do list." Cam shrugged.
"Alright let's go Cammy." Bash said grabbing his and Johnny's bag while Cam got his own.
"Dad I'm not a baby anymore can you please stop calling me Cammy." Cam pleaded as he looked at the elevator floor.
"Awe tuff guy now.
Fine Cam I get it." Bash playfully nudged him.
Cam's heart raced at the act it was just the same as hitting to Cam.
"So what are we doing.
Bank, jewels.
A Game store?" Cam tried to joke.
"Neither and never a game store.
But uncle Kurt got you kids gifts he's meeting us at the cabin.
The gifts are in the trunk.
Say what kind of cake you boys want." Bash asked nonchalantly.
Cam was taken by suprise he never asked such things let alone the gifts.
"I don't know Kurt got Luca an ice cream cake last month for his birthday he saved a piece for Johnny we both liked that." Cam said as he looked out his window.
"Cam today is different and we are going to go see someone an old fling, she can't raise her kid, he's like seven or eight your baby brother, you and Johnny are gonna have to teach him the ropes okay." Bash said as Cam looked at him like he was nuts.
"Okay." Cam sighed as his stomach flipped threatening to vomit what little he ate.
They arrived at an apartment in the slums.
Drug dealers on every corner.
"Keep close and don't look at them." Bash said as he pulled Cam to his side Cam was shaking with fear.
Instead of being concerned Bash smirked.
"Hey there old man how much for the pretty boy." Some skinny guy with rotten teeth came up and got in their face.
"Back off." Bash pulled out a gun.
"Okay keep for yourself.
Its cool man." The man backed away to his shadow.
Cam looked at his dad confused.
"What did he mean?" Cam glanced back.
Bash forced him to look forward.
"Remember that guy uncle Kurt shot that tried to get you boys alone, later uncle Kurt had a big talk with you boys on never going anywhere alone with any men or women that come through our group.
"Oh...
That..
Yeah...
The most uncomfortable day of my life.
Man you guys drilled us on if he did this or that, half of what you asked I still don't even know." Cam sighed.
"Yeah well I might beat you boys but I draw the line at that.
I'm glad your still naive but than yet its not like you really have a choice." Bash chuckled.
'Yeah like we have a choice.
You lock us away and keep us cut off from the world.' Cam argued in his head.
"So why did uncle Kurt still shoot him if he didn't touch us?" Cam asked as they road the elevator to the top floor.
"Uncle Kurt found out that guy had a record.
You boys wouldn't have been his first if we didn't watch you both like hawks.
Plus we kinda trapped him into giving it away.
A piece of garbage like that doesn't deserve to roam the earth.
Harming kids like that." Bash was getting angry.
When the elevator stopped Cam pushed himself off the wall.
He hated elevators to small and he always felt light headed after.
Malnutrition probably played a part in that.
"Okay when we get in their take the boy and help him pack, don't forgot personal toys like you and that blanket." Bash smirked.
Bash rang the door bell, as soon as it opened Bash pushed Cam in.
"Cynthia its been to long remember us?" Bash smirked as he held onto Cam who stared at the golden hair woman with ocean blue eyes.
"You are not stealing him too Sebastian." Cynthia yelled as Bash presented the gun in the hand that draped across Cam's shoulders.
"Think about your actions." Bash pointed the gun against Cam's temple.
Cam was kinda use to it, the playing hostage bit, there are times he wandered when his dad was finally going to just kill him.
"Now let the boys go pack while we talk." Bash said forcing Cam to walk with him.
"No not this time you..." Cynthia stopped mid sentence when she heard. him pull the hammer back.
"What he doesn't know won't kill him.
But what he dose know, now that will kill him.
Johnathan and I will take care of the child on our own." Bash hissed as he wrapped his arm tighter around Cam making it harder to breath, Bash pressed the gun harder to Cam's temple.
'This it this is the day, he's really going to kill you.
Did I hug Johnny?
Did I say I love you?
We always do.
I can't remember if we did today.
I don't want to die!' Cam's mind raced.
"Please daddy." Cam finally said as he cried.
Cam wanted that moment in the car back the ice cream cake talk, the talk on the elevator even.
"Shhh...
It'll all be over soon." Bash said in his ear with a kiss as he glared at Cynthia.
"Chase take Cam to your room and help him pack your things.
Only clothes okay." Cynthia kissed her frightened little boy.
"Go." Bash hissed in Cam's ear as he shoved him in the direction of the hall.
Aimlessly in shock Cam followed the little boy.
Cam quickly packed warm and cool clothes.
Grabbed two more bags filled it with what ever toys and books the boy wanted.
"Awe Chace this is to fragile, he'll break it on you.
Tell you what leave it here and one day we'll come visit mom..." Cam froze mid sentence.
"Can't be...
Chase what's your last name?" Cam asked as he placed the carousel horse high on the shelf.
"Rose.
Chase JC Rose.
Some times mommy calls me JC." Chase started to cry.
"Is he going to kill my mommy?" Chase grabbed hold of Cam and cried.
Cam sat down leaning against the bed and held the boy.
"Is he packed!?" Bash pointed the gun at Cam.
"Yeah." Cam said.
"Good you carry him." Bash ordered and grabbed all four packed bags.
Cam spotted a blanket that Chase reached for.
Cynthia picked it up and kissed her baby.
"I love you Chase Johnathon Cameron Rose...
He is not your father." Cynthia whispered in Cam's ear as she gave Cam a quick kiss, makine it look like she was kissing Chase who screamed and cried for her as Bash shoved them out.
"Do not atempt to find us and don't even tell that father of his who has him or I will kill one of them." Bash hissed.
'Why did he want us if we are not his?
Who was this man who is slowly killing them and now our baby brother.' Cam was taken from his thoughts when Chase screamed "no" and clung tighter to Cam's neck.
"Its fine I have him, he isn't to heavy." Cam sighed as he held tighter to his baby brother, he was vowing to protect with his life.
"Lucky man, two pretty boys, your gonna have fun tonight." That same scary man came out of no where and gripped onto Cam shoulders like a parasite.
He put his face against the back of Cam's head rubbing like a cat.
The man had a knife in his hand and held the tip of it at Cam's neck.
"So soft...
Mr. You need to learn to share." The man hissed as the tip of the blade bit into Cam's neck.
Cam started to cry.
Chase stared hitting at the guy.
Bash didn't even know what to do, one wrong move and Cam was dead, years of training down the drain.
"Go away Devil." Chase screamed.
"Shut up boy." The man hissed, syliva oozed from his mouth.
"You bind your tongue Devil!" Chase literary screamed so loud Cam expected to go deaf but Chase put his little hand over that ear.
Like a snake the man slithered back to his shadow both Cam and Bash stood dumbfounded.
"Move before he yells at you." Chase whispered in Cam's ear as he went back to crying.
Both Bash and Cam looked back in awe of what they just experienced.
Once in the car Bash locked the doors and checked Cam's neck.
"Just a scratch." Bash dabbed it with a napkin
Bash gripped Chase's little varm and yelled at him.
"Stop it already that's enough.
Cam almost got killed twice and he's not acting like an insane person!" Bash shoved the boy.
"He's just a kid.
He's scared like when Johnny and I were three." Cam said.
Bash turned around with such hate in his eyes.
"What do you know about that day you were only a baby.
He might remember this day but you shouldn't remember yours." Bash slapped Cam across the face spliting his lip.
"Forget about the cake." Bash grumbled.
Cam couldn't figure out why those last words hurt so much.
But he still had uncle Kurt maybe he will still do it.
Was what Cam thought at that moment and the fact he just saw his mother who still lived who loved them.
And that man in the front driving is a stange a kidnapper to the Rose family but why, what made them so valuable to him, yet worthless enough to beat and starve.
So many secrets, Cam hated them, Johnny too, neither could keep a present they stole or made hidden from each other.
Cam couldn't wait to be held by Johnny told he will be safe, listen to his heartbeat, his breathing as he slept, knowing as long as Johnny had him he was safe and now at this moment he was that for Chase who started to calm after dad or who ever spoke to uncle Kurt.
'I wander if he knows he tells us stories about her how we look like her how her and dad were lovers.
But was it just an infatuation.
Did he just stoke her and when she refused her he took her children.
But why after eght years go for Chase to weren't we enough to destroy why take another inocent life into this Hell.' Cam pondered as he fell asleep hugging Chase and combing his fingers through the boys straight silky hair.
'must be like dad.
Not him the guy he mentioned.' Cam argued to himself as he dosed off.
