WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING WAS MORE stressful than Joohyun ever thought it would be. White garment after white garment, veil after veil, zipper after zipper... every single time the seamstress pulled the corsets tighter and tighter than before on the many dresses Joohyun's put on, the more she felt like it would be better if she just pass out on the spot right then and there. She's tried on about 18 dresses in the last 45 minutes, if that even seemed humanly possible to do.
"How many more dresses will I have to try on?" Joohyun helped carry the long terrain of her very deep necklined and almost completely backless dress to the viewing room where Yeri was patiently waiting in.
Yeri took a good look at Joohyun and bit the inside of her cheek, "Hm... I don't like the way this one hugs your body. The last one didn't show off your figure well, while this one shows off your body too much. As much as I think Junmyeon wouldn't really have a problem with a revealing dress like this, I just don't think it suits the occassion. You're getting married, not attending some kind of underground rave."
Joohyun sighed, "I don't really think I have anything to show off anyway..."
"Excuse me?" Yeri widened her eyes as if she was the one Joohyun practically called shapeless, "You're beautiful, Joohyun. Your body is absolutely nothing you should be ashamed of. Plus, have you even seen your curves? Junmyeon should be the one considering himself lucky with having you."
Her flattery caused Joohyun to turn a light shade of pink as she chuckled, "Uh, thanks, Yeri..."
"No problem." Yeri smiled, "Anyway... you know, what? These made-to-wear dresses won't cut it. How about we just have something custom made for you?"
Joohyun widened her eyes and blinked twice in disbelief, "What? That's way too expensive. I don't think I should—"
"Non-sense. You do know that you're marrying the next Kim Jeong Hyuk Group chairman, right?" Yeri burst out with hysterical laughter, "Do you really think a simple custom fit wedding dress would be too much for my cousin to handle?"
"He'll be the one to pay?"
"Of course!—well, technically... my late uncle left the funds for this wedding so we're using that but still. Basically, the KJH Group will be the one to pay for everything."
Joohyun let out a confused breath as she took her time to let it sink in, "I... I don't think I'll ever get used to all of this."
"You will. With time." Yeri replied with a simple tone, "You'll be Mrs. Kim Junmyeon in two weeks time. Part of becoming his wife is relishing in the perks of becoming his wife."
The bride-to-be stood there on the platform, staring at herself in the extravagant and expensive-enough gown she was wearing in the mirror. She scratched the back of her head and craned her neck to the side, feeling uncomfortable about this whole situation.
"C'mon, Joohyun. You should get out of that dress and get ready to have your measurements taken in the fitting room. I'll call up the best designers I know and have them whiff up some designs you can choose from."
All she was able to do in response was nod affirmatively and head back into the spacious fitting room she's grown used to seeing, feeling helpless with nothing to do. Almost like a literal deer frozen in front of a pair of headlights.
Meanwhile, if that seemed tiring and stressful already, Junmyeon would love to beg to differ...
"Sign here, here, here, and here." Attorney Kim pointed to the different sections of the documents where Junmyeon had to write his signature on.
