Megan came to a complete stop at the top of the hill and let go of my wrist. I was slowing to a halt, but I managed to trip over my own feet. I stumbled around, and landed in a pile of bones with dried and fresh blood mixed together. I gasped and looked up at Megan with disbelief. Megan looked back down at me, wide-eyed. I jumped to my feet, threw my arms around her, pulling her into a hug.

I was terrified.

"We've got to get out of here," Megan said, tears forming in her eyes.

Soon after our little hug, we heard the chainsaw start up again. I looked in the direction I thought it was coming from. I didnt know where to run or where to hide. I wondered what time it was, since it seemed like we were in here forever. I quickly checked my wristwatch for the time, which read 2:30 am. We still had four hours until dawn! We might never make it!

This time I was the one who grabbed Meg's arm. I pulled her behind a thick tree and waited for the chainsaw engine to die off. I didnt know where the nearest fence was, which meant no escaping for right now.. So we just ran. After running for a few minutes, I thought it would be safe to stop. I turned around to face Megan, but she wasnt there.

Not seeing my best friend made me panick.

"MEGAN!" I screamed, but no respond.

"MEGAN, where are you?!" Still no respond. I started to panic, shake and tremble all over. Then I heard the chainsaw start up again somewhere in the distance. I started freaking out more now that I was alone. I looked around me, then heard the chainsaw engine roar a little louder, and a girls' scream.

After thinking it over for a few minutes, I realized the scream..

.. Was Megan.
