Reunited (luke brooks fanfic)

Chapter 3

Georgia's pov:

I woke up to my dad shouting for me to get up for school, so I slowly trudged out of bed and went to get my uniform from the cupboard and slipped it on then put my hair into a high ponytail before I grabbed my bag and rushed out the house without even glancing at my dad.

I hobbled over the road to the brooks household, I was early for a first so I knocked on the door and memories came flooding back from yesterday. Gina answered the door and pulled me inside and hugged me tight, asking me if I was okay. I panicked... She knew what my dad had done. "W-what?! Please don't tell anyone, it's fine I just annoy him sometimes!" I hesitated. "What do you mean?" Gina Asked. "Um...nothing" I mumbled. "No sweetie, you need to tell me. Is your dad hurting you?" Gina questioned. Gina sat me down and before I knew what I was saying I told her everything. After I finished she didn't say a word she just hugged me even tighter telling me that she was sorry and I was always welcome to come over if my dad started drinking too many beers. "Look here's a spare house key, come over anytime. I'll always be here to help you".

Me, Beau and the twins started walking to the train station, it was only around the corner. "Hey, how come your still wearing your jumper, it's boiling?!" Jai protested. "Oh, I'm just cold I guess" and with that all of a dropped the subject and the boys argued over some football game (surprise, surprise!)

When we got to school Beau went to his class as he was in one of the older years whilst me, Luke and Jai walked to our first lesson, maths. I didn't have any other friends than the Brooks but they were all I needed. They were the only ones I could trust along with Gina and Nonna.

"Earth to Georgia, are you there?!" Jai chuckled "oh, sorry what do you say" in all honesty I was paying any attention to what Jai was on about. "I said, are you excited for tonight" I mentally face-palmmed remembered that I was sleeping over at there house tonight . "Yea, can't wait" I laughed.

When I came home from school I sighed in relief seeing that my dad's car was gone, he was probably out drinking till the early hours as usual. I packed some stuff and ran over the road, seeing Beau outside the house kicking a football around. "Alright Georgia, Luke and Jai are in the kitchen getting some snacks" I walked in and saw Gina and the boys arguing about something in kitchen until Gina's eyes flicked onto me and she ran over and hugged me which led to the boys joining in and it turned into one big group hug.

After we got the snacks and sorted out the sleeping arrangements, we turned on the TV and put in some random scary movies but I wasn't paying attention as usual. My mind was set on how bad my beating was going to be when he found out I slept round the boys house tonight .

(Next morning)

"Thank you so much for having me Gina". "That's okay, anytime babe". "BYE LUKE, BYE JAI, BYE BEAU" I shouted up the stairs. "BYE GEORGIA, SEE YOU MONDAY!" They chorused.

"Where the fuck have you been?!" I heard a voice bellow when I entered the dark, dingy house. Great...
