It's Saturday, the morning sun shining through the thick leaves of her house. She brushes her teeth and heads downstairs.
On the table is a note from dad.
Goldy
I went out for work today and I won't be back for most of the day. I've made a breakfast burrito for you and it's in the fridge. Be safe!
Love, Dad
Sometimes, but not all the time, does Goldys dad work for most days. He is a block of gold so she assumes that he works in some kind of mining factory and sells gold and stuff.
But there will be some days where Goldys dad is gonna be out for almost the whole day and she has the house to herself. This is one of those days.
If it weren't for daycare then she would be really bored.
Goldy finishes breakfast. She doesn't know what to do next until she receives a text. It's from Ace.
Hey! You wanna hang out for today? I have nothing else to do :/
She wasn't really expecting this. It was nice! They've hung out a few times after they met so it would be cool to hang out with him again.
Sure! When should I come over? Goldy responds.
Meet me at the park near my house. Come over as soon as you can! I have something really cool to show you!
Goldy automatically gets dressed and practically runs to the park. She loves surprises and frankly, she doesn't want to wait at all.
She arrived at the park, panting a little. She sits on a nearby bench waiting.
Hey dude. I'm there now in case you're wondering
Cool ill be there in a sec.
A few minutes later Goldy sees Ace holding a book.
"Hey! What's up?" Ace greets her.
"I'm doing good homie! What's with the book."
Ace motions Goldy to follow him to a grassy secluded area. When they sit down he flips the book open to many different pages. Goldy looks at the them curiously.
"I've always loved magic since I was younger!" Ace says happily. "Potions, magic, and stuff. And I wanna test something out with you."
"With me?"
"Yep!"
"Whatever you want me to do, I'll do it! I'll be like your personal assistant." Goldy was beaming with excitement at this point
"Perfect!" He flips to a certain page. "Do you know anythinge about the Eldritch Eye?"
"Uh- Yeah! I do actually. My umm dad gave me one as a present."
"Good! Is it real or fake?"
"What do you mean?"
Ace gives her the book and flips it to a specific page.
"It says here that with using a small piece of the real Eldritch Eye, it can be used for multiple possibilities, such as potions, magic, or enchanted objects." Ace reads. "What I wanna make is an enchanted neckless. And it's gonna be for you!"
"Me? Really? Where is it?"
"Haha! Calm down, you'll have to be patient. We're gonna make it together."
