Cross x Child Reader

You appeared in the void. You wore a gold locket. You cried. You called out for your Sans. (Note you came from OU(original universe)

"Who's there?" Said Cross. He felt shocked. He found a child that was around 3 years old.

He sheethed his big knife. And pointed it to the golden locket. "Why are you wearing that Locket. That doesn't belong to you." Said Cross glaring at you.

You naive as you are. It was your Sans. But he looked different.

You made grabby hands.

Sans eyes widen. His Y/N always would do that. He looked away in regret.

His eyesockets widen when nightmare came through. "Who's that?" He asked.

Cross shrugged. "I just found them in the void."

"Really?" He said snickering. He went towards you and prepared his tentacles. "What are you doing?" Cross asked in concern.

"I'm going to kill it. Something that pure shouldn't exist."

Cross felt his gut feeling lingering toward him. "No. Leave her alone." He blurted glaring keeling his gaze at nightmare.

"What?" Nightmare asked glaring back. Cross summoned his knife and protected Y/N at all cost. "STAY AWAY." Said Cross.

"Make me." Said Nightmare. They both fought but cross won afterwards.

"Fine." He said glaring. "But don't seek me for help." Said Nightmare as he made a portal and went off.

Cross turned towards you and picked you up. He softly smiled.

"I'll take care of you." Your eyes widen. You were confused on what he said. But he hugged you tightly. Like he had to do it for his life.

"I promise."
