Chapter 6

Dawns POV
*time skip 10 months*
Its had been 10 months since the dornet incident and things have been going well,which quite frankly,is giving me anxiety. Its only a matter of time until Omen and Sharp tooth  come back for me. I guess I got to just make do with what I have now instead of worrying.A lot has changed since then,there's been a few floods in the camp and some of the queens have had pups.My kids were scrabbling against the frostbitten ground,playing warriors with each other, they were desperate to be apprenticed and kept whining about how long its taken.Thank god those scamps were getting restless I'll admit I'll miss them...
I angled my ear towards the entrance,hearing the linen tremble as Sparky padded into the den with some prey held in his mouth.
He began placing prey around the queens,before finally bringing a plump dull rabbit to me,dropping it at my paws. I nodded my thanks before taking small nibbles,careful to leave some for the kids. I smirked through a bite as I heard a squeak behind me,seeing dust being kicked up with excited barks coming from the kids,as Feather practically tackled him to the floor,with Happy Thunder and Silver following suit.
"Dad!"
"Dad you're here!"
"Food!"
"Yayyy Dad!"
"Dad look!Mom taught me a hunting crouch!"
Feather instinctively dropped to the ground,his tail pinned to the floor,before Happy jumped on top of him giggling before jumping aside.
Sparky chuckled,I joined in,quietly laughing to my self.
"Good job feather!You'll all make great warriors!"
Their eyes lit up with pride as they all excitedly squeaked their thanks,their tails thumping against each other.
"When can we start training??" Happy
Giggled,bouncing up and down in excitement.
"I can't wait to be a drala, can we be dralas?Can we can we??"
Sparky glanced over to me a tired pleading look of help me written on his face.
"Your ceremony is today!So go spruce yourself up or I'll do it for you!And leave your poor dad alone!" I chuckled,as he shot a grateful look towards me. I smiled, happy I finally found a place to be safe and to belong in a pack.
