Dawns POV
I sat outside of cressilinas den, trying to avoid and ignore the pressing questions of the elder and medic.I tried angling my ear towards the den the listen into the conversation with sparky and the pack leader, but the elder and the medic seemed to notice with the medic pulling my face forward to check my scars and the elder repeating his questions louder.
"Guys...I have ears, and I also have no serious injuries I'm fine...I just need some time alone..." They grumpily sighed, before reluctantly trudging towards their respective places.
Leaning against the cold stone I thought back to conversation with omen and sharp tooth, something about it felt like a thorn in my side.
How long till my next death...?
I tried to shake the thought out but it kept creeping back into my mind,so I decided to go hunting, hoping the fresh scents of prey and undergrowth will pull my mind elsewhere.
I silently crept out of the camp, feeling my shoulders relax at the comforting scent of the fresh heather.I spread my wings watching the pale tones of cream and tawny spread out as I leapt into the sky, cutting through the clouds as I scanned the land below for prey.I tilted my head to a rustle below,as a brief smell of rabbit rose into my nostrils,as I quietly landed, and crept towards the bush, before swiftly leaping forwards and landing a killing blow on the rabbit. I felt somewhat bad now, I ditched my pack to kill a stupid rabbit, all because I knew I was going to die.Man I'm a dick...
I grabbed the rabbit ,and flew off back to camp,a low knot of anxiety growing in my stomach like a knot.
I dropped the rabbit before racing back to the warrior den to try and find Sparky. When I couldn't find him I hesitantly decided to sleep, which was hard with the growing knot in my stomach.
