Issun quickly packed his things. He did something he never thought he'd do.
He stole one of his grandfather's paintings.
He had to get out of there. Fast. He betrayed his own village and his grandfather. He ran out of his house above his grandfather's house and jumped all the way down. He was heading towards the water, but he quickly grabbed a leaf and swung onto one of the bridge-roads. He saw the light of the outside world- Yoshpet. Right before Issun could reach the exit, somebody grabbed his cape and yanked him back.
A warrior that guarded his grandfather's house. His grandfather was the chief of Ponc'tan, the Poncle village.
"Let.... go of..... me!" Issun writhed in the warrior's grip. He pulled out his sword and whirled around, pointing it at the warrior's throat. The warrior was ready for this and dropped Issun's cape. Issun backed up a little, and put his sword away, bolting. He put his stuff on his back. He approached the exit and looked back, surprisingly, nobody was chasing him. He jumped out of the log that held Ponc'tan.
He looked around and shivered. He forgot Yoshpet was in the state of a blizzard. He started to run out of Yoshpet until....
"Issun?"
Issun stopped and whirled around.
It was Miya. She had a blanket wrapped around her.
"Why are you leaving? Where are you going?"
She asked, stepping up to him."I betrayed Ponc'tan. That's why, and I don't know where I'm going next...." he said, his voice getting softer.
"But......" she stammered.
"Go back home, Miya, I can't have you following me," Issun interrupted.
"Why not?"
"Your sisters are going to follow us and tell Ishaku," he replied.
Miya dimmed. He walked up to her and smiled down at her.
"Come on, I'll walk you in," he said, putting an arm around her. They walked into the tree stump holding Ponc'tan. Miya walked back to her house, her light dimmed. Issun waved as she walked away, then ran out, and ran out of Yoshpet.
