LATER THAT NIGHT, Deputy Howard sent a message the group's parents, telling everyone that they found who did it. There were tears of happiness, sadness, and relief shed that night, and in the weeks following, the Deputy arranged a trial for Tyler. After a month of holding him in the county jail, Howard accompanied him to his trial, testifying against Tyler as his mother cried in the background. Melissa Walters, Angelica and her mother, and the Evans' were there too, crying for an entirely different reason. As the evidence was presented, Tyler's mother started to sob. Deputy Howard explained how Keira was killed, and as this information was presented, Melissa broke down. Monica comforted her as she cried, and when Tyler was called to testify, he plead guilty. The only words he said were "all of what the Deputy said is true - I killed her."
The verdict was decided that day, and Tyler was sentenced to life without parole on fourteen charges of first degree murder. Before going to prison, he would spend three years in a nearby mental institution to try and help him with his Paranoid Schizophrenia. On that day, happy, sad, and relieved tears were shed too. Tyler's mother was crushed while Melissa felt like Keira's murder had been justified.
Before Tyler left, there was time for people to say goodbye, and when Keira heard of this, she decided to pay her old friend a visit. He looked worse than usual when she was finally able to see him, his hair disheveled and eyes glassy.
Angelica sighed, her facade cold as she faced Tyler, "You were a okay friend, you know that?"
Tyler looked up at the sound of her voice, his dark eyes focusing on her for a brief moment before they unfocused again.
"But," She continued, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face, "How could you? I trusted you..."
Tyler clasped his hands together as he rested his elbows on his knees, bowing his head in shame as he mumbled, "I'm sorry."
"Yeah," Angelica snapped, fuming, venom coating her voice, "It sure seems like it."
Tyler nodded, not saying anything in response. Angelica took this as her queue to leave.
"Goodbye, Tyler," She told him, sniffling, "It was nice knowing you, even if I didn't know you at all."

As the next few years passed, things started to look up for Evan, Angelica, Jen, Stephanie, Willow, and Melissa. Stephanie graduated, landing in a college not too far from Moorwood. Evan and Angelica soon made it into the same college, and Jen moved far away from Moorwood, hoping to escape the tragedy of Moorwood. Willow was stuck in her waitress position, but she healed with time. When Stephanie, Angelica, and Evan visited home, the caught up with Melissa. Stephanie was definitely doing better - she had come to terms with her sexuality and had a long-term girlfriend named Sunny. Evan and Angelica had healed from the loss of their friend, going on to lead a normal life. They still missed her, but the memory of her no longer hurt. Melissa was doing great - she had adopted a six-year old boy that didn't have a home and loved him with all of her heart knowing that Keira was always going to be there beside him, even if it was only in spirit.
Needless to say, it was a good life.
