Who's ready for chapter two?

That's right, you are.

The next morning was filled with panicked yelling by Toriel and Kris, while Y/N simply sat on the couch while relishing her breakfast of a simple fruit salad. Her mother had gone off to the grocery store to buy stuff so they could officially move into the house a few blocks away instead of crashing at Toriel's home once again.

"Kris! Where's your lunchbox?!" Toriel called hurriedly from the kitchen, catching the missing item in her paws as Kris rushed past, one arm through the sleeve of their striped jumper as they tried to shove their head through the neck of the garment.

Y/N giggled softly, using her teeth to pull off a piece of strawberry from a fork. She was already dressed in a pair of black tights and a white, flowy top that complemented her blue skin tone. A pair of sandals adorned her relatively small feet, which she swung back an forth as she watched the chaos with amusement. Her bag was already packed and ready to go.

Instead of taking a few days of break to get used to her new surroundings and to rest up from their long trip, the girl had insisted that she wanted to go to school right away. Cordelia had nearly forced her to stay home, trying to be a good mother and having her rest, only to be shut down by the girl who looked close to tears as her mother yelled at her.

The fight was broken up by Toriel, and Y/N hadn't even blinked an eye as her mother collapsed into tears, instead letting herself be pulled into Kris' room where the two of them watched a comedy show together on their iPad.

Toriel sighed tiredly as she watched her youngest child trip over their own feet and fall on their face, smiling slightly at the muffled laughs by Y/N as she rushed over to help them. The goat monster placed the lunchbox on the couch next to where Kris' unpacked bag was, picking up the empty bowl that Y/N had left behind in her hurry to check on her friend.

"Thanks." Kris chuckled sheepishly, allowing Y/N to help them up. They finally pulled on their jumper, ushering away the girl as she offered to pack their bag for them.

"Okay, are we ready?" Toriel asked, dusting off her clothes. Kris offered their mother a thumbs up as they stuffed their lunch in their bag. Y/N pulled her bag on her shoulders, and after Kris did the same, the three of them exited the lovely little home and loaded themselves into Toriel's car.

As the woman started the vehicle, Kris leaned over towards Y/N, whispering.

"There's this girl in our class called Susie..." They shot a dirty look over at their friend as she giggled suggestively, playfully punching her arm. Their expression turned serious once more, and Y/N realised that this probably wasn't a laughing matter.

"Sorry." She apologised, smiling slightly as Kris shook their head, not seeming bothered.

"Anyways, uh... so this girl, her name's Susie..." They repeated once more. "She's dangerous. Don't go near her, okay? She's so close to getting expelled for beating people up and stuff. Make sure you don't anger her or even talk to her. She gets pissed really easily."

Y/N felt shivers crawl up her spine. Kris wasn't joking, were they?

"What does she look like?" She whispered back. Kris opened their mouth, only to notice the school looming in the distance.

"You'll know when you see her, trust me." They hurriedly whispered back, leaning away and unbuckling their seatbelt. Y/N's heart was beating furiously, and she felt her hands shake as the school got closer and Toriel's car slowed down.

The car pulled into the teacher's parking lot, and Y/N released a breath she hadn't realised she was holding. Anxious tears burned behind her eyes, and her stomach was doing uncomfortable flips. Kris tapped her hand lightly in comfort, opening the car door and stepping out. After a deep breath, Y/N did the same.
