Sorry for not having updated yesterday, I was out.

They were mostly silent as they moved through the corridor.
The sound of their footsteps bounced off the purple walls, but nevertheless, the small group of four were silent, keeping mostly to themselves.
Susie and Ralsei were at the back, Ralsei working his short legs to maximum capacity to keep up with his teammates while Susie relaxed and kept up a slower pace, however, her long legs made sure that she never strayed from her companions.
As relaxed and laid back the two may look, they were still a little rattled by Kris' earlier threat and Y/N's reaction to the entire thing.
There was something going on in the background of all of this, and the two were cautious about the whole situation.
The other half of their group, Kris and Y/N, lead the team from the front. Kris, with their head held high but their eyes never showing as always, maintained a quick and steady pace. Their shoulders brushed against Y/N's, who looked as if she was leaning into her friend for protection. An aura of something melancholic and sombre surrounded the girl, worrying Ralsei and irking Susie.
The purple lizard felt... honestly, she didn't want to say. She had always been the one holding up a tough and aggressive exterior, which she didn't want to be shattered because of some stupid girl who was new in town.
...
What was she thinking? Susie was absolutely head-over-heels for Y/N. No doubt.
She cared for the smaller monster. She'd only known the girl for two days or so. She doesn't know anything about her. What was her birthday? Favourite food? Hobbies? Music taste?
Nothing.
Susie knew absolutely nothing.
All she knew was that Y/N was a shy girl who joined their little town of misfits just yesterday with her mother and that she seems to be awfully close with Kris.
That thought made her heart boil with rage and jealousy.
Were they... perhaps, a couple?
No... they couldn't be, right?
As Susie mulled over her thoughts and didn't bother to tune in with the rest of the group as they explored, Kris had already started finding a number of interesting things.
One, there was a door frame built into the rock wall, with no door attached to it. Strangely, they couldn't see through the thing.
And two, up ahead was the one and only Lancer.
Y/N, who had been trying to become one with the wall just moments ago, smiled at the sight of the young villainous monster.
Lancer might have been trying to destroy them, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't find the kid cute and endearing. Since forever ago, Y/N had always been fond of kids. Their childlike wonder and untainted mind always made her smile, though a part of her was jealous too.
She wished that her childhood was like that. She wished that she had enough time to grow up.
She had always lived a life of fear and hurt. Always.
"Well, flip my flapjacks!" Lancer's high pitched and excited voice snapped not only Y/N out of her sad thoughts but also Susie, who looked murderous.
"The clowns are back in town!" Ralsei mumbled something in response to that, but he was too quiet to be heard. Y/N waved politely at the child, who seemed to sparkle.
