Millie's point of view
"I liked it."
I pulled out of our hug with a weird feeling in my stomach, because I know that Finn doesn't like me back. He's in love with Jenna.
It's gonna be an awkward ride home.
"C'mon let's get Ava home, it's getting late."
We loaded up into Finn's car and we made it to my house.
Finn walked Ava and I to the door.
"Ava go get your pajamas on," I said and Ava and ushered her into the house.
"Finn," I started standing at the door of my house, "I think it might be best if we stop being friends. I know we're good friends, but Jenna's a good girl, and she loves you so you need to be with her."
I kissed his cheek and opened the door to the house and started to go inside when Finn grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.
"Finn, what are you-"
I was cut off by Finn's lips pressed onto mine.
Head over heart Mills, head over heart.
fuck that
Heart over head, it might be the last time we do this.
With my lips pressed to his, I felt the small tear roll down my cheek.
Even though I didn't want to, I had to to be able to breathe.
"Finn," I sobbed into his shirt.
"Mills it's okay, it's okay."
"No, it's not. Come inside I have something I need to tell you."
We got up the stairs and he sat on my bed.
I shut the door and behind me and sat across from him on my bed.
"You're not going to believe me, and this is not how I wanted you to find this out."
Another tear ran down my cheek.
"Oh, Mills," he said wiping the tear.
"You're gonna hate me, but please hear me out."
"I will, nothing's gonna get me to hate you right now."
"No, I'm one hundred percent serious you are going to hate me and not believe me, but please hear me out."
"I'm not gonna hate you Mills."
"You know how Jacob owns the diner?" I asked.
"Yeah?" Finn said confused.
"Well, he does this thing where he would tell us he would fire us if we didn't, like, make out with him."
"Where are you going with this?"
"You'll see. Anyway, as he started to want more from us, I decided, I was going to play him. He grew feelings and kept me at the diner to try and get with me. I wouldn't let him and I still have my job and don't do anything with him."
"Okay, why would I hate you?"
"Because Jenna didn't catch onto that."
Finn's eyes widened in realization.
"Finn, Jenna's been cheating on you."
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked a tear rolling down his cheek.
"I didn't know Jenna was in a relationship until she came into the hospital that day. Once I did find out, I begged her to tell you because I didn't want you to get hurt. She said she did, but you kept asking where she was every day in the diner and that showed me she didn't. I'm sorry you had to find out like this, truthfully."
