Epilogue-

third person

Finn listened to Millie and tried to move on, but he couldn't.

He tried to love someone else, it was Millie's friend, Grace.

That's right, the one Millie was going to move out with.

Finn and Grace grew close over Millie's death, but they ended up in more than a friendship.

Grace thought of it as Millie playing matchmaker from heaven.

Finn thought it was rude for him to move on so fast.

However, when the time came for them to move out, they moved out together.

When they broke up, they stayed friends and stayed living together.

'Do it for Millie,' they told themselves.

Finn ended up studying art and sketches, in honor of Millie.

He tried to make a living out of drawing itself, but he knew he just wasn't as talented as Millie.

Finn would do things such as travel to promote art, but one thing never changed: his obsession with Music.

He found the old song he had written for her.

It made Finn want to study music.

Finn did music on the side, he had an amazing voice and loved to play guitar.

Finn has a polaroid of the picture of him and Millie they took the night of the car crash.

"I love you," Finn told the picture every night.

He would talk to the picture like she was still here every night.

Finn and Millie could still communicate, but it was never as large as the night at the lake and arcade.

The image of a heart appeared on the table.

Still, fifty years later, he still cries remembering that night.

'She died in my arms.'

"At least she died knowing someone loved her."

Grace now appeared at the door frame at the small door.

"I'm sorry," he said looking at her.

"For what?"

"Putting up with me. It was a task Millie had only done for a few weeks, but it was definitely the strongest anyone's ever been with me."

Another tear ran down his face, and Finn didn't make an effort to wipe it.

"I really miss her man," Grace said putting a hand on his shoulder.

"I really miss her, her kisses, her cuddles. I can't say the word 'damn'," he paused and wiped another tear, "or 'hell,' because that was our thing."

"It's been fifty years, but I really miss my best friend," Grace said.

"Me too, I wish I could have saved her that night. I died too, but she brought me back long enough to stay alive and live my life."

"And you dedicated your life to her. You'll see her one day."

"I just want that one day to be now."

"Get some rest, Finn, we're too old for this," she said chuckling slightly.

Finn picked up the picture from his nightstand.

"I love you, and I really want to see you, someday."

Finn slowly drifted to sleep.

"Come see me, Finn," he could see the small girl sitting on the rock.

"I miss you, I love you," she cried into the lake.

Millie was at the school and she was sitting on a rock by the lake.

'It was always our place,' Finn thought.

"I need you," Finn whispered walking toward her.

"Finn?" she asked.

"Yes, Miss Brown?"

She stood across from her and she gently cupped his cheeks, placing their lips together.

"Still as amazing as it was fifty years ago," she said wrapping his arms around her.

"How often do you get like this," he said grabbing her hand.

"Not often. I love you!" she said fading into the light.

"I love you too Millie Brown!"

'If only she could have been Millie Wolfhard.'

Finn woke up on his bed at seven in the morning, not being able to see the pretty girl he had seen hours before, but only in person this time.

Finn wished he would have met Millie in place of Jenna, they would have been together two years longer, and hopefully, or more like wishfully, forever.

That was Finn's last thought right before he passed five years later.

Millie Brown just had to save her one and only, Finn Wolfhard.
