harry:
"-arry. harryyy. hARRY WAKE UP ITS BREAKFAST TIME!"
"god ron," he muttered, rubbing sleep from his eyes and scrounging for his glasses until they were thrust into his hands.
"sorry," said ron, not looking the slightest bit apologetic. "i don't wanna miss breakfast, and i heard we're brewing something special in potions todayyy."
"wait, we had potions yesterday. amortentia? remember?" harry pulls on his robes hurriedly and tucks his wand in his pocket.
ron shoves him through the door and down the stairs. "um no we had flitwick yesterday, are you ok mate?"
he doesn't answer. too busy thinking about draco's desperate lips on his. the way he curled a hand in his hair and took all of the breath out of them.
"i need to tell you something r-," but they had made it to the great hall and the loud drum of noise cut him off. harry's face contorted in agitation and his ears were starting to ring. he knocked into a hufflepuff who apologized, giving him a concerned look. just sit down, make it to the table it's fine. you've defeated the dark lord. what's a bit of noise? harry's eyes darted to the slytherin table as ron steered them toward where hermoine was waiting at their own, looking for any sign of platinum hair. his face lit up. a blush crawled it's way to his cheeks as he readjusted his hair. he gave a bit of a wave as draco looked up, his expression softening. he waved back, winked. harry giggled and clamped a hand over his mouth as ron made him sit down.
"did you just giggle? blimey, who are you staring at so hard?" ron asked.
"no one, no one. just.. thought of something," he hoped he'd forget about it quickly. "hi hermoine, haven't seen you since last night."
she frowned, "i was in the library all yesterday, when i got back you two had gone up already, what do you mean?"
he glanced between hermione and ron and they looked back with concerning looks. ron whispered in her ear.
"what did you just whisper? i'm sitting right here ya know."
"nothing. just. you seem off. did you get enough sleep? having nightmares again?" ron asked.
"maybe eat something, you don't seem to be thinking clearly," hermione suggested.
"i'm fine guys. you guys are the ones acting like yesterday hasn't happened. and ron there's a smudge of gravy on your chin there. just like.. you had.. yesterday.." something dawned on harry then. he isn't completely unobservant.
"what are you on about? we didn't even have gravy yesterday."
"i, i'll catch up with you guys later."
"harry, wait," they tried, but he was already out of earshot.

draco:
draco had kept his eyes on harry for quite awhile, blaise was starting to notice. but he didn't really care at that point. he had already had a weird morning as it was. he kept getting deja vu. and now harry was acting strange from across the hall. he watched as the scarhead got up and sped walked to the door, shaking his head. pansy was trying to get draco's attention.
"ugh draco talk to meee. what's on your minddd?"
"oh shut it pansy, talk to blaise. i have something to take care of."
"but-,"
"be careful mate," said blaise. he was starting to worry about the boy.
draco stood up from the table and starting hurrying after harry. he rubbed the snake charm in his pocket, something he had picked up a long time ago as a child in diagon alley. he didn't go anywhere without it and had subconsciously picked up the habit of rubbing the scales when he was anxious.
he walked with purpose towards the great hall doors, where potter had just disappeared behind. when he opened them, he heard crying. oh no.

harry:
there were tears streaming down his face. he knew yesterday happened. but at what cost? why is everyone acting like yesterday is today and what went wr-
"oh harry." harry looked up at the voice filled with, what was that? love, concern? he had had enough of concern today already. but when he looked up it was into the eyes of
"draco! please," he was pulled into strong arms and collapsed. this is stupid. i'm overreacting. in the arms of an ex enemy. he tried to pull away but draco pulled him in tighter.
"shh shh it's okay. breathe. i'm here now."
and at those words harry melted.
"do you remember the amortentia?" he murmured into the other boy's robes. draco pulled back a little.
"yeah of course.. why?"
"they don't. i think, i think we're reliving yesterday. our yesterday," harry hesitated.
draco's eyes widened. "what are you saying?"
"i'm saying i dont know how, or why, or who, or anything else, but yesterday happened and it's yesterday again today."
harry laid his head back against draco's shoulder and said softly, "it's enough with voldemort trying to kill me every other minute. and now i'm in this mess." maybe i deserve it.
"maybe this isn't as bad as we think. let's just enjoy it while we can. you deserve a break."
"i swear you can read my thoughts and immediately know how to make me feel better."
"what can i say, i've spent a lot of time longing after you," draco smiled at him. "we'll figure it out."
"okay. thank you. dick." harry pushed off of him and stood up. breakfast should be over soon, and amortentia all over again after that.
"hey, i thought we were past that!" he watched as draco's jaw dropped to the floor.
"close your mouth babe, you'll attract flies," he said, starting the long walk to potions.
"mhm, love you too."
"what was that?"
"nothing," draco said, slipping his hand into harry's. harry laughed, i could get used to this.
