Sage's Best Friend (A Free Rein Fanfiction)

Lost

I started walking towards my house and then I pulled out my phone. I walked for about 10 minutes with my phone out and I hadn't noticed that I was not on the right path. I started to freak out. I thought 'I'm lost'.

I heard someone coming and that's when I started to breathe heavily. Then Marcus emerged from the woods on a horse.

"Sage, are you alright? You seem lost." Marcus asked.

"I'm fine, but I'm lost." I said sort of ashamed.

"Here I'll take you home." He reached his hand down and helped me up onto the horse.

"Normally it's not safe to ride a horse without wearing a helmet." He said.

I giggled.

"So, where are you from?" He asked.

"I'm from New York." I said "You?"

"I'm from here." He said.

"Oh!" I said.

"Anyway, you are planning on coming to Pony Camp right?" He asked.

"I don't know. I'll have to ask my dad." I said.

"Probably a good thing. You have to have parent permission to come." He said.

"I'll ask him I promise." I said.

"Cool." He said.

We stayed quiet for the rest of the ride. We soon arrived at my house. I hoped off and told Marcus bye and I thanked him for helping me.

I carried my poor pupper inside. My dad asked, "Did you have a fun adventure?"

"Yeah." I said while taking my shoes off. "I,actually, made some friends."

"Good, good. Any boys." He asked.

"Uh...Yeah." I said.

He sighed and I walked upstairs and took a nice hot shower. I got out and put on my housecoat. I brushed my teeth, dried my hair, washed my face, and brushed my hair out. I walked into my closet and changed into my nightclothes.

I yelled down to my dad good night. I picked June up and layed her in my bed. I turned off the lights got into bed and immediately fell asleep.

I've had a LONG day...
