Day 4

"Ugh, Sasuke!!"

"Hm?"

"I can't do it..."

"Come on, Sakura."

"No, please... Help me."

"I'm already finished."

"Please?!"

"That one's on you."

Sakura pouted as she looked down at her plate piled high with food from the inn's buffet, "Darling, I feel like I'm about to throw up."

Sasuke chuckled, "I don't blame you. That's shrimp you covered in barbecue sauce then drizzled with chocolate..."

"Want some?"

"No, no. I'm stuffed." Sasuke smiled as she groaned and took a small bite of shrimp. His gaze shifted to the couple sitting a few tables away from them.

"Are you sure that's them?"

"I'm positive. Can't you see the symbol on her back? And her hair, too. That's gotta be them."

"The Uchiha couple traveling all over the country? Yeah, that looks like it, huh?"

Is this what what it's like being married to someone like me? The rumors spread and talk never stops. Sasuke pursed his lips as he listened to them continue on about Sakura being extremely pregnant.

"So." Sakura grinned, "there's no hospital here. You know where you're taking me, right? I can just give birth in a cave, you know. Seems simple enough."

"No. I don't want to put your health or the baby's at risk. There's no way the baby will survive if we let him or her be born in a cave." Sasuke sighed.

"Alright. That's..." Sakura stopped midsentence and brought her hand to her mouth, "oh no... Excuse me."

Sasuke watched her run off as quickly as she could to the bathroom and waited for a few minutes before she returned, "five plates of buffet food, wasted."

Sakura nodded sadly as Sasuke stood up and took her hand, "thanks."

He chuckled, ignoring the stares from around them, "let's go. The sooner we get out of here, the better."

As they walked, Sakura's pace got slower and slower.

"How much longer?" Sakura wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead, "at this rate, you might have to carry me."

"Don't worry." Sasuke smiled, "you see that cave just up ahead?"

Sakura nodded and became silent as she took his hand and set it on her chest, "do you... Feel that?"

Sasuke looked at her, "your heart... Are you nervous?"

"Only a little." Sakura pursed her lips, "the moment we leave from that hideout, we'll have a little baby with us. Can you believe it?"

He chuckled, "I can't. But it'll all work out. We'll be fine."

Sakura squeezed his hand, "I don't doubt it."

He leaned down and kissed her forehead, "alright. Let's go."

"Should we be quiet?"

"I don't think so."

"But... What if Orochimaru's here?"

"I highly doubt it."

Sasuke carefully led Sakura through the torch-lit hallway to the back until the hallway opened to what looked like a common area with a living room setup on one side and a kitchenette with a refrigerator on the other side.
