"'The fox left the group because he was sad and lonely. 'I have no friends!', said the fox...' Wait, hang on, the fox has a whole family of foxes. Why would he claim he has no friends if there's a whole pack of them?!" Naruto spoke in annoyance at the children's book, "this book doesn't make any sense...."
He looked down where Boruto sat on his lap and let out a sigh, "do you know what the story means?"
The little baby boy only looked up at his father and blinked, not really aware of what was actually going on.
"We should get going, huh? Kakashi-Sensei is probably gonna get at me for being late again." Naruto muttered as he set the book on Boruto's bed and picked him up to holf him in one arm, "mom's out running errands, so you get to spend the day with dad today."
Boruto squealed happily as Naruto left the house and made his way through the streets of the village to get to the Hokage's office.
"Naruto!"
He turned before entering Kakashi's office, "oh, Ino! Hey!"
Ino ran up to him, Sai following close behind holding their baby son in his arms, "are you here to see Kakashi-Sensei, too?"
"Yeah." Naruto looked at them as he grabbed the doorknob, "I thought I was here to do more Hokage studies with him, but did he call you guys here?"
"Then..." Sai shrugged, "Maybe you're not here for your studies."
"He called us here. He said it was pretty important." Ino crossed her arms, "I hope everything's alright. Ah, hey! Boruto!" She rubbed Boruto's head excitedly as Naruto opened the door to Kakashi's office and the three went in, "I'm so excited for you and Inojin to grow up together... Wh-what the..."
The trio froze at the door, staring in shock.
"N-no way..." Sai gaped, "is that...?"
"I can't believe it!" Ino smiled happily, "oh my gosh!"
"Heh..." Naruto fixed his grip on Boruto and smirked, "well, well. It's been a while."
Kakashi chuckled, "hasn't it? Let's, uh... Let's go get something to eat."

"Oh man, you can't believe how much I missed you, Sakura!!" Naruto hugged Sakura tight as they walked to Ichiraku Ramen from the Hokage's office. His grip loosened as he glanced back at where Sasuke walked with Kakashi, "Hmph. I guess I missed you, too. Only a little, though."
Sasuke shut his eyes in annoyance, "that's my wife, you dimwit."
"I'm a married man, too! Sheesh!" Naruto slung his arm over Sakura's shoulders, "so, you and Sasuke have a good time out there?"
"Better than you can imagine." Sakura laughed as she adjusted her own grip on Sarada, "a lot happened."
"Yeah, about that..." Ino was near squeals as she walked closer to her best friend, staring at the baby she held, "who's this?!"
"This is Sarada." Sakura smiled as she held the baby girl out a little for Ino to see, "it was a safe delivery."
"So, uh..." Ino pursed her lips, "w-was that snake there?"
Sakura laughed and shook her head, "no, no, he wasn't."
"Good." Ino sighed as she leaned in closer, "hey there, little Sarada! Oh my gosh, she's so cute! She reminds me of both you and Sasuke, Sakura. Hey, this is Inojin. You two are going to be in the same class when you're older. Think you two can get along? Maybe you two will get married when you're older. Oh my word, imagine how much fun that'd be, Sakura!"
