One summer after graduating highschool, i was still living at home. One night after staying up late and was packing for a camping trip with my friends, and it had been unbelievably hot and had my window open while I sat and folded clothes. At around two in the morning, I look up at my window to see a hand coming through my window. In panic I screamed and the hand left from my view outside the window. I was stunned, but there was a deep feeling inside me that my younger brother was pulling a prank on me. So i decided to get up and look out the window, and was shocked after seeing a figure of a man, staring straight at me.
Still hoping it was my brother, i ran to his room and he was sitting playing videogames. We called the police, who came and searched the area where we lived but found nothing. They warned me and my parents to lock up all the doors and windows, then they left. We were all still shaken up, and my mom had a strong feeling that he might come back. It is no joke when i say a mothers intuition is right, as she waited outside on our back porch. After around 20 minutes or so, she saw the man, dressed in full dark clothes, hiding behind a tree in our backyard, but we didnt have a fence in our backyard. After a while he hid behind the tree, he ran to another and hid there for another while, then another, and another, reaching his way to my window. My mother yelled something to him, and then he ran off in the darkness. The police coming once again, still finding nothing of a trace from him.
I never opened that window again, not even the curtains. My parents installed a motion detecting light, and once that was installed, we never saw the man again.
