Chapter 7

Sesshomaru's POV

I left the room so I may continue to do paperwork in my office. As busy as I was making preparations, my mind couldn't help but think about y/n in the bath. Her porcelain skin shined in The moonlight, while her midnight black hair stuck to every curve of her body. Her blue eyes glistened like the great ocean. I growled. I leaned back putting my pen down to rub my forehead, trying to calm down my inner beast that wants to claim her so badly. In due time

I never had any interest in any female demon nor certainly human. But she was different. Yes a goddess, but someone who had a heart and could always kill someone in an instant. Definitely any heirs she produced would be the most powerful beings in the world.

Could this be what father was asking? Do I have someone to protect? Ridiculous. I protect Rin, but y/n can protect herself. Actually...I do not know of her abilities. I frowned. All the years I've known her, I never seen her fight. Not even once. I will be testing her tomorrow.

Your POV

I woke up to birds chirping. I really love it. The sounds of nature are so relaxing. I decide to get up so I may meditate on the rocks outside the room for a little while.

I'm sitting on the rocks, when everything starts to fade....

"Ah it's a while hasn't it my child?"

"Mother..."

When I meditate. I can communicate with the souls of my people. Anyone that I know alive. Give or take. Even if there is no physical body. Our souls never die.

"How is everything my little one?"

"Well mother. I had been still searching for Naraku. I finally showed myself to Inuyasha in order to help him with his mission. However...." I bit my lip. A habit of mine when I get nervous.

"What is it?"

"*sigh* Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru wants me as mate and will not accept no other."

"Aw. Cute! My baby is getting married!" My mother shouts clapping her hands.

"Mom. I can't be his mate. There's Naraku that must be dealt with. And the matter of the Shikon no Tama. The humans and demons constantly fight over it. It's a matter that I want to get rid off. Permanently."

"Yes. The Shikin no Tama has been a constant thorn in our sides for many years. Midoriko was such a brave human for her battles. But the jewel has caused nothing but the loss of many lives."

I nodded in response.

"But Dear. You're immortal. You never took an interest in anyone. I feel like you should give Sesshomaru a chance. After all. He is the Lord of the West and most importantly. He is the son of Inu no Taishō. A great friend of ours."

"That is no reason why I should mate with Sesshomaru. He was my best friend's older brother that did not even like his existence." I huffed.

"True. But in time Sesshomaru will at least come to terms with Inuyasha. And my dear. For you. Will help him with it. Believe or not. It is you that will help change him for the better. You who will become one with him. You are his destiny...."

My mother's voice echoed in my head as I snapped back into reality.

"Lady Y/n. My lord will like to speak with you during breakfast." Said Yuri.

"Very well." I jumped off of the rock and landed gracefully. I started walking to the dining hall with Yuri walking behind me.

I had sit across the table from Sesshomaru and for someone who wanted to speak to me sure stayed quiet during breakfast. It was pleasant but it still bothered me that he still hasn't said a word.

"So, did you get any rest last night since you weren't in the room?" I asked Sesshomaru breaking the silence and gaining his attention.

"After finishing my preparations, I did have a few hours sleep."

A moment of silence. Geez. I feel like he is just taking his time with what he wants to say. I know they say patience is a virtue but....Sesshomaru just makes me nervous.

Sesshomaru's POV

I sat here on the table watching y/n chewing on her lip. When she is in thought, I've noticed that chewing on her lip is a habit. If only I can chew on those lips...

"Y/n. I would like to test your strength today. So you will be facing me in a spar."

"Excuse me....?"
