Third person I guess~

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I had no idea." Zach shifted in his seat so he was criss-crossed but still facing Jack. "And no, you're wrong. You can make it big! That playing was beautiful!"

"I-its alright Zach, it's not you're fault," Jack blushed at the compliment and looked back at the piano. "After all that happened, bullying you was my coping mechanism, and I truly am sorry for all that." His eyes filled with tears.

Zach didn't say anything. He leaned over and wrapped his arms around him.

Jack was stunned for a few moments but eventually hugged back. He buried his face in the crook of Zach's neck, letting a couple tears fall, and they sat there for several minutes.

~~

During the movie, they both felt quite sleepy. Zach closed his eyes and rested his head on Jack's shoulder subconsciously. Jack flustered and held his breath, trying not to move and wake him up.

Soon the movie ended and Zach was fast asleep on the other boy's shoulder. Jack slowly stood and gently layed him down on the couch. He left the room and came back with a blanket. Jack draped the blanket over Zach and knelt down next to him, watching his still face.

He smiled softly and leaned in on him. The boy kissed Zach's cheek and quickly stood and walked away. He walked into the kitchen and got himself a glass of water. After drinking a bit, he wiped his mouth of excess water, and went to sit down in a chair in the living room.

Jack noticed Zach smiling in his sleep. Blushing, he hoped that he didn't feel him kissing his cheek. He stared wide-eyed for a few moments at the boy until he decided to sleep as well. He relaxed in the chair and closed his eyes.

~~((I'm still so lazy))

An hour passed and Zach woke first. He felt around in confusion of the blanket and smiled softly. Zach sat up and swung his legs over the couch to touch the floor. He shivered and wrapped himself in the blanket and leaned back into the couch.

After looking around the room, he noticed Jack in a chair fast asleep. Zach stood up from the couch and walked over to him. He took the blanket and wrested it on Jack's sleeping figure. Zach smiled and started to wander around the house until he found the bathroom.

((This is quite a sad part))

Zach walked inside and took his sweatshirt off and sat on the floor. He brought his arm up to eye level and with his other hand, he placed a few fingers on the bandages and stroked it. The boy flinched in pain and felt a tear role down his cheek. Zach had cut again, it was a couple nights before this one.

He began to cry and he brought his knees to his chest and hugged them. Resting his head on his knees, he started sobbing.

"Why?" He heard a voice at the door. Zach had forgotten to close the door and Jack was standing there with horror etched on his face. "WHhy did you do that?" Jack sat down next to him and took his wrist.

Zach was crying harder and didn't bother hiding his mistake. "I-I'm sorry," He didn't know what to say so he kept sobbing.

Jack brought the boy's wrist to his lips and he kissed the bandages. There was a hitch in Zach's sobbing because he had tried to hold his breath. "Please, don't this again." Jack spoke quietly and and ended up hugging the crying boy next to him.

Zach hugged him desperately and let the tears fall onto Jack's shoulder, "I'm so sorry, I-I didn't know what to d-do." He stuttered hysterically.

Jack could feel the wet spot on his shoulder from Zach's tears, but he didn't mind. All he wanted to do right now was comfort and hold Zach. And there was so mistaking himself that he had feelings for him. For the boy that he was holding in his arms. The fragile, yet strong boy who had made a mistake and probably hated himself for it.

Not even 10 minutes later, Zach had calmed down and was breathing heavily. He was still clinging to Jack and gripping the back of his t-shirt. All he needed right now was Jack's comfort and somehow Jack knew that.

Suddenly, Jack spoke, though a little hesitant, "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked even though he most likely wouldn't get an answer. Jack let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"No," Zach answered the unsure boy. He let go and stretched his arms out and rested them in his lap, "Not right now." Is was true he didn't want to talk about it right now, but he promised himself that they would speak about the topic later, much later.

"A-alright," Jack responded a bit disappointed. Jack rubbed his eyes and yawned. He closed and eyes and leaned back, placing both of his hands behind him on the floor.

Zach watched him and blushed, looking at his calm and beautiful face when he closed his eyes. Somehow it seemed awkward to Zach, so he tried to make conversation, "Hey, um, I... I wanted to say, uh, thank you." He flushed even more in embarrassment.

Jack looked up at the boy, who was twiddling his thumbs and looking at him innocently. He giggled at the look on Zach's face, "For what?"

Zach darted his eyes away and looked anywhere but at Jack because he was embarrassed at what he was saying, "T-thanks for being my friend, I-I mean."

"We're friends?" Asked Jack. It was a simple question but it meant the world to Jack if they were friends. He smiled and a faint tinge of pink spread across his cheeks at the thought of them being something more than friends.

"N-not unless you don't wAnT to be friends," He covered his face with one of his hands still looking away. He felt Jack pull the hand gently away from Zach's face which made Zach turn his head to look at Jack with his eyes open wide.

Jack smiled softly and looked at him in the eyes, "Of course I do, Zach. Of course I want to be your friend." He intertwined their fingers and squeezed his hand before letting go and standing up. He reached his hand for him to take. Zach gladly took his hand pulled himself up. "So, what do you want to do?"

Zach rubbed the back of his neck and said disappointed, "I actually should get home though." He sighed and let his arm drop to his side.

"I can drive you, if you want, " Jack offered in a kind voice. They both walked out of the bathroom after Zach put his hoodie back on.

"Oh, no, that's fine. I can walk, " He was grabbing his belongings from Jack's bedroom, "I noticed that my house wasn't far. " He was about to head out of the door when Jack grabbed Zach's uninjured wrist and swung him around.
