Chapter 5 - Family Reunion

Jade Point-of-View

School was over but not for me. Mom wanted to introduce me to some of her friends in the school. She told me that she has told James about the tutoring and he told Mom that he will give the answer tomorrow. I wish he would be my tutor because I think I like him. Normally I won’t fell for a guy quickly but something about him makes me feel...I don’t know...right.

Well after the meeting, we reached home quickly as we have a family dinner with everyone in Dad’s family. I can’t wait to meet my grandma. The last time I met my family was last year. I really miss them. Well at least the dinner will be at my house.

Around 17:30, Uncle Jim arrived with Cousin Jessie and Cousin Jake. Jessie is a year older than me. She is more like a big sister than a cousin. We always tell each other secret and we always go shopping even though I am always busy with my work. Even if we meet in the middle of the street, I will always ask her out for coffee. Jake is the same age as me. Even though he is a boy, he is always so cool and fashionable. His school is close to my new school. Once I went to his school, I saw him with his friends and almost everyone was drooling at him. He is so sexy and I wish he was not my cousin so I can date him. Haha

By 17:45 everyone was here. Dad’s side is a little bigger than Mom’s. Now I am talking to Cousin Jessie about makeup and Justin Bieber.

“Justin is so hot with the capital ‘H’” Jessie said with excitement.

“I know but he is too good for Selena.” I told her.

“I know right.” Jessie said

“Dinner is ready!” Mom shouted from the kitchen

After we sit on the chairs that was set up, I started to talk to the twins, Faith and Hope.

Faith and Hope Johnson are identical twins. They are really alike and they are easy to be confused. The only different is their faces. Faith follows her mom, Joan Dean, while Hope follows her dad, Jake Johnson. Their hobbies are also different. Hope likes to play the piano and the clarinet while Faith likes to play the guitar and the bass. Hope likes to read romances and mysteries books while Faith likes to read science books. The common things they like to do together are shopping, go gaga in front of hot and sexy celebrities and talk about boys. They are your typical average girls.

“So Jade, how is your new school?” Hope asked me

“It is ok. I did get a lot of stares from people. It is kinda creepy.” I answer to her

“So meet any cute boys?” Faith asked her.

“uhm...yea you can say that.” I blushed while saying

“Really how cute is he? Is he hot? How old is he?” Jessie asked me

“He is kinda cute and he is also hot. Apparently he is the same age as I am. I asked Mom about him and she said that he is top of his grade and he likes to play sports. Mom asked him to be my tutor until my grades has improved.” Telling them about James

We kept on talking while eating. After we eat, we quickly made our way to my bedroom. We kept on talking about James and other stuff. Even though I am a celebrity, I am also a girl. The night went by fast as it was minutes after we ate dinner.

“Hey let’s us have a sleepover tomorrow?” Jessie suggested

“Yes totally!! Whose house?” Hope said

“How about my house? I try asking my parents.” I said

I went downstairs and ask them if I can have a sleepover and they said yes. I went back upstairs and I said to myself ‘Thank God tomorrow is Friday.’

“It is a YES!!” I told them and we all screamed.

We kept on talking about tomorrow until it was time for them to leave.

I thought to myself ‘Can’t wait for tomorrow!’

James Point-of-View

After we left the kitchen, I was tackled by my Cousin Josh. Josh is younger than me by 2 years. He is a happy go lucky guy. He studies at the school next to mine and he told me stories about his school. I love him like a younger brother and he also look up to me like an older brother. We are so close that our parents decided that we sleep in each other houses every summer.

Every time we meet, we always talk about school, sometimes Men’s fashion and sometimes we watch movies.

While waiting for dinner to be delivered, Aunt Jane is not good in the kitchen, we quickly made our way to the game room upstairs. The game room consist of a 13-inch HD television, a gaming system, a pool table and small kitchen which consist of a popcorn maker and soft drinks dispenser.

When we reached the game room, Finn and Josh race each other to the television to play their video games and Candice and Stanley played the pool table. I was just in between them playing my laptop. When we were doing our things, the door suddenly open and saw my older cousins, Logan and Sam, walked in.

Logan and Sam Emerald are my father’s brother’s children. Logan is a month older than me and Sam is a year older that Logan. They also have an older brother, Johnny, who is a sophomore in Seattle College. Sam is a freshman in California University while Logan is a senior in his high school. Even though Johnny is across the country, it would not stop them from chatting every night.

“Hey Logan, Hey Sam! What time did you guys get here?” I asked them.

“We just reached here and Aunt Jane sent us up here.” Sam said to me.

“She also told us that dinner will reached here in an hour’s time” Logan told me.

“By the looks of it, the adults have some things to talk about and mostly everyone’s here.” Josh said.

“Uhm... I need to go to my room for a while. I’ll be back later.” I told the people in the room. While walking towards my room, thinking if everything will go right.
