"Why do I fall in love with every woman I see that shows me the least bit of attention?" -Joel Barish, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Have you ever wondered about the existence and the functions of Romantic Comedy? Since I've always been madly in love with with with with romantic comedies, I've got some words to say. To begin with, if you're feeling the blues, it is a good way to escape from reality, in my case, Romantic Comedies had a huge role.

It all started in Sophomore year, the time phase when I used to have insecurities about pretty much anything of myself. And as always, there was a guy, the most "It Guy" in the whole universe. He was the captain of the basketball team, with 3.7 GPA, interested in literature, popular among the school, most importantly, he had the cutest smile ever. As we became friends, I started falling for him more and more each day. One day, it all got ruined by me.

"Hey, Lidya! Can you walk a little bit faster?" if my thoughts weren't interrupted by May, I would cry, seriously.

"Guys, could you be a little bit slower? Geez, I've been waiting for for you for hours!" said Connor.

"Oh Connor, can you stop being dramatic just for once, we literally run to get there." Anna was breathing loudly. "Okay, so what is the problem here?"

"They're gonna cut our budget, it's claimed that there are not enough activities going on and nobody is paying attention to our club anymore."

"I know that there is a decrease in the number of club members, but we are the only movie club that has a prom!"

"Not anymore, Action Movie Club is going to hold a huge, action movie-themed party by the end of the semester." said the guy standing behind Connor.

"And, who are you?" I replied with a curious face.

"Excuse me, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Nathan, Connor's roommate." He smiled.

"It's Lidya." so that we met.

"Let's get back to the topic! What are we gonna do about this, if they shift our budget we can't have a prom as good as it used to be."

"And what about our plans, you know we were going to shoot a short film, scenario, the cast and the director we had all of them organized. How can we arrange our dream movie set, without having enough money?"

"Okay, okay, don't panic. If we want to figure this out, we should be thinking clearly, right? I suggest us to get some fresh air and think individually. By the end of tomorrow, we can be brainstorming. Who agrees with me?"

Everybody lifted their hands, except for Anna. She seemed a little bit annoyed but I evaluated it as if she was feeling bad about the whole thing.

"So, we will be holding the meeting at 6 p.m., in the clubhouse. I'll inform the members. See you guys tomorrow." then I left.

Boxing helps a lot, after an exhausting day. As I punch more, I feel less tired of the situations I've been going through. Every part of me gets stress-free. I've been imaging that I'm actually punching my real life problems. Especially my high school problems. I've underestimated myself so much back in the days, basically, I was not enough for myself. Not only I hated my ordinary way of look, but also I had real big self-esteem issues. I was bullied by my classmates until the beginning of high school but everything changed when I got noticed by a guy, named Levi.

He was a senior of mine, and popular among every girl in the school. Once we bummed each other in the hallway, I knew that he was going to be the beginning of everything.

"Easy girl, if you keep continue punching that hard, we will need a new punching bag." a strongly built man was standing next to me.

"I'm sorry, I was just having a terrible day..." sad it while feeling embarrassed.

He replied with a soothing smile. "As long as you become careful, there won't be a problem."

I started punching again, but more softly, after he left, put on some music, tried not to think about anything but the club.
