I just got back to the house. I swam around a bit more to clear my head before I came back. I have the towel Yoongi brought me wrapped around my body. I decided to try and forget what happened at the waterfall. I walked into the house and noticed that no one else was home yet. There was no sign of Yoongi either. I let out a sigh of relief and make my way upstairs. I go to my room and lock the door. I drop the towel while I walk to the bathroom and start the shower.
I look at myself in the mirror and gulp. I bring my hand up to my neck and run my fingers over the small bruise that formed on my neck. I close my eyes and shake my head. I turn away from the mirror and strip from the bikini before getting into the shower. I washed myself off and let the hot water run over me for a few minutes. I close my eyes once again and let out a sigh. After turning off the shower I get out and dry off. I blow dry and brush my hair and walk back into my room.
I walk to my closet and get dressed in my bra and underwear and a long grey button up shirt and a pair of black booty shorts. I also cover the bruise on my neck before I go to my library, thankfully not running into Yoongi. I sit in the window and pick up the book I was reading. It was a strange book called The Book of Kindly Deaths. It was actually very good, just strange. I read a few chapters of it and now the sun was starting to set. The sky was painted beautiful shades of blues, purples, and pinks.
I sat looking out at the sky for a minute or two before my stomach let out a growl. I sigh and get up, leaving the library and heading downstairs. I make my way to the kitchen. However, when I open the door I see Jin sitting at the island. He had papers strewn everywhere and was holding a few in his hand. He was hunched over with one hand in his hair. He looked stressed.
"What's up?"
He jumped a little and turned around, startled. When his eyes landed on my his expression instantly softened.
"Nothing, just going over things for work."
I nod and walk over to him. I pick up one of the papers on the island and read what it says on the top.
"Synthetic blood?"
I look at him and raise my eyebrow. He lets out a sigh and puts down the papers he was holding. He leans back in his chair and closes his eyes.
"Yea. I started to work on trying to figure out a way to make a synthetic a few years ago. I figured that it would help everyone. Humans, vampires, werewolves. It could be used for blood transfusion and transplants. It could feed us. We could make deals with hospitals around the world and figure out a way to distribute it."
I nod and pull out the chair beside him, taking a seat.
"I was given money to find the project. It would help me get supplies and do research. The only problem is that I'm running out of money. Hoseok, Namjoon, and I are just starting to make a break through but we don't have enough money to continue. We've been contacted by people in Shanghai and Beijing. They're vampires and they heard about what I was trying to do. They said that they would be coming here this week to see our progress. If they were happy with what they saw they said they would fund us."
"That's great! Why do you look so stressed?"
"None of us know Chinese and these people know very little Korean. We have no way to communicate with them."
I let out a laugh and Jin looks over at me. I give him a smile and place my hand on his shoulder.
"Did you forget that I've been traveling around the world since I left you all those years ago. I've picked up and become fluent in several languages. One of them just so happens to be Chinese. Let me look over all the research and tell me all the stuff that I need to know. I have an amazing memory. I can talk with them."
"You would do that?"
I smile and nod my head. He smiles back at me and takes me into his arms. He gives me a long hug before he pulls back with his hands on my shoulders.
"Well, let's get started!"
I nod and we both turn to the papers scattered on the counter.
~Time skip~
Jin told me most of the things I'll need to know for the meeting. They're coming tomorrow evening so I'll have to review and go over everything tomorrow. I have a really good memory so it won't be very hard for me to tell them all the things they need to know. It's dark out now and Jin told me that I needed to go to bed so I'd have enough energy to deal with people tomorrow. When I left the kitchen he was gathering all his papers together.
I make my way upstairs but before I can open my bedroom door I'm being spun around and pinned to the wall next to the door. I close my eyes from the impact with the wall and let out a small groan. I can feel hands gripping my wrists and holding them again the wall. I slowly open my eyes but soon wish that I hadn't. My eyes lock with a pair of bright red ones. I gulp and my face flushed a very light pink.
"W-what are you doing?"
Yoongis eyes dart to my lips as soon as I start talking. They then move down to my neck and his eyebrows knit together.
"Why did you cover it up?"
"W-what?"
He glares at my neck and brings my hands above me. He holds both of them with one of his. His eyes don't leave my neck and he brings his free hand to where he was looking. I close my eyes as his hand makes contact with my neck. He gently wipes off the concealer that I used to cover the bruise he had left there earlier.
"Don't cover this again."
