High School isn't as amazing, as you think it would be. It's my third year of high school and I honestly can't wait till next year, because I will finally be leaving this place. Every day is like hell, I get pushed into lockers, shoved around, called names and punched. It fucking sucks, but there's really nothing I can do about it. I mean I could tell my mom, but she would just complain to the school and the school would just tell the bully's to stop. But the thing about bully's is that they don't stop, even if you tell them too. It's honestly okay though. I don't mind. I just wish I had someone to talk to. Nobody really talks to me. Everyone hates me. It's not like I don't know why. I do, it's because I'm gay. Not many people really accept that about me. There are people, that don't care that I'm gay but they are afraid to be friends with me. They think that if they are friends with me than they will get bullied too, and I really don't blame them. I totally understand. Sometimes I just get lonely. But anyways, here I am getting on the bus headed to the first day of my junior year of high school. I can't wait for this day to be over. As I see the bus pull around the corner, I quickly pull my thoughts together and grab my book bag off the bench and stand up. The bus pulls up and stops. Slowly, the doors open and I take a deep breath, and walk up the steps. My eyes scan the bus, to find an empty seat. I find one that looks empty and walk towards it, than I see this head full of unfamiliar curls. I was about to turn around, and try to find a new seat until he noticed me.
"Hey! You can sit next to me if ya want! I don't bite!" The guy said, scooting over in his seat, and placing his book bag on the ground.
"Oh I- I um- okay?" I said a little nervous. He chuckled.
"I'm Darren, I'm new here." He said reaching out his hand.
"I'm Chris, nice to meet you." I said smiling, while grabbing his hand and shaking it. He smiled back. I took a seat down next to him.
"Awe look at the two love birds, hey lady mc freak. Did you miss me?" I heard a very familiar voice say. I gulped, oh no not- I turned around to see Josh and his gang. My heart started to pound while, I slid down in my seat trying to hide.
"Hey, you can't talk to him like that." I looked up to see Darren stand up. Josh started to laugh.
"Chill, it's a joke. Me and Chris are good friends." My eyes widened at this. "Right?" He said looking down at me.
"Right." I whispered, scared to death of what might happen if I said no. He than started to laugh and walked to the back of the bus.
"What was all of that about?" Darren asked. I didn't want him to find out I was gay, otherwise he might not wanna hang out with me anymore. It might be a little hard to hide, but this could be a shot at a real friendship.
"Umm...nothing" I smiled. Darren looked at me, and sighed.
"Okay, than don't tell me." Damn, I just met him and he can already tell I'm lying. Either he knows when people lie or I suck at lying.
"So, what grade are you in?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"Im in 11th! How about you?"
"Same." I said quietly.
"Oh my gosh! That's awesome! We are totally going to so much fun this year!" and what I didn't know is that this would be one of the greatest, years In my life.
