The bus finally got to Nockfell High School after what had felt like hours of nagging from Travis, although it was moderate it was still extremely annoying. All of the students hurried off of the bus, leaving Sal and Larry to get off last.
"See you in the second period, fag!" Travis yelled across the court as Sal got off the bus, but Travis quickly stopped and ran away once he saw Larry giving him a glare that said, "Shut your mouth before I kill you." Larry's voice sounded deep and angry, "He is such a fucking dick to you. Are you good, Sally Face?" Larry looked over and asked his friend, putting his arm around Sal, his hand hanging over Sal's shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine Lar. I just feel like there's something more to Travis than we know. Maybe something is going on at home." Sal thought out loud. Larry sighed, concerned at how big of a heart Sal had. The two proceeded to walk into the school and were greeted by their two best friends, Ash and Todd. "Hey, you two!" Ash smiled big, clearly happy to see her friends after the weekend.
She was wearing a purple dress and black leggings along with black boots, with the usual camera around her neck. You'd never see her without the damn thing. As for Todd he just waved slightly at the two other boys. He was wearing a green sweatshirt with blue jeans and his favorite white converse. The bell rang and like that they were all off to their first period classes.

Sal went to his first period class, it was the most boring of all his classes because none of his friends were in it. He walked into the plain looking classroom with walls of white covered in what were supposed to be "inspirational" posters. In all reality they were just creepy. He found a seat near the very back of the class that had a window he could look out of. Sal hoped the class would pass by quickly if he just day-dreamed the whole time.
Sal lost focus of the teacher when she started to go over this week's course of events as he looked out the window. The town he lived in wasn't the prettiest but he still liked it, he saw the beauty in the town. He regained his focus when he felt a pattern of small thumps on his chair leg. Sal turned around and saw a girl he'd never seen before, but that was normal since he mainly focused on his closer friends. The girl was giggling as she handed Sal a small folded piece of paper. "Sally Face" is what the paper said on the front, it was a note. He opened it hesitantly, expecting some cruel words or a question about his face but to his surprise it wasn't. All the note said was, "Meet me in the guy's locker room after school." There was no signature. Sal shoved the note into his pocket as the bell rang.

The group sat at their usual lunch table but they all felt like something was off. Sal was acting weird, and everyone could tell. He was looking out at the distance as if he were in deep thought about something.
"Hey Sal, snap out of it dude." Larry waved his hand in front of Sal's face in order to get his attention. "What are you thinking about anyway? Is something or someone bothering you?" Larry asked referring to Travis who had been bothering Sal in the halls all day. Sal sighed, "Oh it's nothing. I keep losing my train of thought. I am pretty tired so that’s normal. He scratched the back of his head and decided not to tell anyone about the note just yet.
Sal went on with his day as usual, except he got more and more anxious as the end of the day got closer. He would randomly pull out the note and scan it over to see if he knew the handwriting, but he couldn't pin it. Sal finally decided that he was going to stay after school to find out who left him the note, curiosity had gotten the best of him. He pulled out his phone to text the group..
Sal: "Hey guys, don't wait up for me. I have to get some extra class time in for all the days I've missed recently. We can all meet up after I'm done though. I'll keep you guys updated."
Ashley: "Okay!! TTYL."
Todd: "Not available, hanging with Neil. Maybe tomorrow we can meet up since it's the weekend. The school gets weird after hours, be careful."
Larry didn't reply cause he was right next to Sal in class. He did check his phone and look at the message before looking over to Sal. "Sal, dude, what's going on with you? You're being weird." Larry squinted his eyes as if interrogating his friend.
"I don't know what you mean by that Larry, I need to get extra help in my classes from my teachers." Sal rolled his eyes at the overprotective Larry. The bell rang and the whole class was gone within seconds. "I will see you later, Larry. I shouldn't be here too long and then I'll meet you at your apartment." Larry scoffs like a child and walks away, "Okay dude. Call me if you need me." And with that Larry was gone.
