3rd Person POV
Delia Ketchum was doing a daily maintenance she has progressed to do for 8 years mainly being a small hobby in the small place called Pallet Town. As laundry hanging on the rope used with wooden clippers was gently taken off as they are ready to be folded and used again.
Yes, this was the life she enjoyed. The Kanto War was no more and she has no need of the past. She has a caring son and a small house and a valuable friend which was satisfying for her. Sure the father was never around, she can manage anyhow. After all, she always able to take care of herself before her son was born.
Delia was able to finish the last set of dry clothes and picked up the basket full of clean laundry. She was about to went back to the house when she heard something from afar. She turned around only to find her lifetime friend Samuel Oak running to her. If she could remember correctly, isn't he suppose to be somewhere with her son? "Samuel, what are you doing here? Did something happen to Ash?" Delia asked. Oak only gasped for breath since he did seem to do much running. When he did get his breath back, Delia did not hesitate to ask again "Did something bad happen to Ash?"
"Not bad at all, but you have to see this, I swear" Oak answered. Not bad? Then what did Oak want Delia to see about her only true family?
At Camp
Now this was something entirely new.
Ash, only 8 years old and still a child, was with a girl his age. She was golden blonde, sweet, kind, and Delia sensed a feeling of comfort her son has around her like he has with his own mother. This was indeed something that would surprise. Ash may have found a true soulmate.
"This is great Samuel," Delia murmured as she tried to hide the burst of excitement inside her "How did this happen?" "I don't know exactly," Oak confessed "I heard from Scarlet that a Poliwag scared her and Ash helped her get back on her feet. I don't know much about what you and Ash sense through your emotions, but I believe that Ash may have found someone without knowing it".
"Indeed," Delia replied "Why don't we help as well Samuel?" This only made Oak a little confused at what the idea meant "I mean we get them a little more closer a bit," Delia insisted "I feel like she could be the one" "You're right," Samuel agreed "But be careful Delia, there are always obstacles in the way."
"I know" Delia sighed glancing at other adults and children. One thing Pallet Town was that both Oak and Delia agreed was that they had a sense of pride coming from the rich Fellendy family. But this didn't stop her from raising Ash at all.
"Excuse me," another voice disrupted Delia's thoughts. She turned to see a woman. She was a brunette and an outfit suggesting she lives at a ranch or farm "I'm Grace Gabena and I couldn't help but overhear your conversation and I noticed my daughter, Serena, is with your son" "Oh he's my son. I'm Delia Ketchum" Delia introduced herself.
