Chapter 10 Running to You

Clemont's POV

While Serena went to find Ash, the rest of us were able to head back to Sycamore's Lab. Bonnie was already there demanding answer for the smoke she saw from where we once were and why Ash and Serena were not with us. We three had to explain everything, from the Museum attack to Ash running away and Serena going after him. Their reactions were expected, so we made no breaks to start a search party around Luminous City.

We were outside the Pokemon Center to let Alain and Caddie talk alone with Professor Sycamore so there was a few moments of quiet waiting just until Bonnie started to tug on my sleeve. My little sister kept tugging notice what, actually who, she was seeing; Serena and Braixen were in sight having to come from an alleyway 

"There you are Serena, did you find Ash?" Professor Sycamore asked. Serena bit her lower lip trying to find a way to answer, yet Bonnie seemed to read her expression well "It's easy to get lost in this city. I heard that happened before."

"No, I did find Ash," Serena answered "Since we've seen the basis of his powers, he thought there was no need to deny the fact. So he told me all of it. How he could understand Pokemon and use Aura. How he was afraid of people wanting to sell him of as a weapon. He ran off again..." Mairin covered her mouth with her left hand in shock of what Serena was telling. We all were shocked as well from that because of how Serena was talking about it was clearly odd for Ash wasn't like this timid at all.

The moment of silence didn't last long once Professor Sycamore, Alain and Caddie exited out of the Pokemon Center and noticed that Serena and Braixen were with us. Serena smiled for just a little bit before it was lost, and began looking between us and them with surprise before being able to speak again with me "Please don't tell me he knows too?!"

"We were told of what happened at the Museum," Professor Sycamore explained hearing this, "I'm glad that no one was hurt, but the idea of Ash being targeted again...not to mention hearing about the abilities of an Aura Guardian. His protection is beginning to be more of a priority now that we know this is more life threatening to both him and possibly even the whole world."

That doesn't either lighten the situation or calm us down, or at least calm Serena down until we heard a loud roar. A very familiar Fire type Pokemon smoothly landing down from the sky near closely to us "Charizard, thank the Gods you're okay. Did you find Celosia and Bryony? Have you seen Ash somewhere?" 

Charizard pointed its claws around the northern east area that has mostly familiar buildings possibly to reply the last question which got Alain quite shocked "The Airport?!" "This ain't good, he probably won't want to come back after revealing that rare power" Caddie prompted "We may not even ever see him again."

This has even frightened Serena just imagining the idea. She started to breath faster at this response "He's not returning to Kalos...It's all over...I can't imagine life without him!" Everyone including myself stood here watching her, clearly trying to help find the words to calm Serena down. Bonnie sighed and approached Serena, yanking her arm once Bonnie reached her. 

"Serena, you care about Ash, right?" Bonnie asked. Serena nodded, though it didn't satisfy Bonnie "And you care about his wellbeing?" "Yes" Serena whispered her answer, but Bonnie facepalmed softly.

"Then you know running away from some silly views of normal people is a stupid idea!" We were  a concerned of how raised Bonnie's voice was, but Serena did seemed convinced of what she was trying to get at while miraculously wind blew around us. 

Serena: Who knows what tomorrow brings in a world, few hearts survive. All I know is the way I feel. When it's real, I keep it alive.

Bonnie: The road is long, there are mountains in our way. But we climb a step every day.

Caddie: Some hang on to used to be. Live their lives, looking behind.

Mairin: All we have is here and now. All our life, out there to find.

Braixen: The road is long, there are mountains in our way. But we climb them a step every day.

"Alright, I'm okay now" Serena replied wiping off a few tears "Let's get Ash back before someone bad takes him away." We all nodded and decided to head northern east, except for Professor Sycamore who was checking his watch "You kids would have to go rescue Ash without me. The Council is requesting me and Diantha for a meeting." 

I wanted to ask what he was talking about of a Council, but Alain and Caddie already got everyone else hurrying along to the airport. I'll ask later once Professor Sycamore comes back.

Alain: Time goes by. No time to cry. Life's them and I. Alive, today.
