"Ah...Achoo!"

The walls tremble with force from her sneeze, waking Mako from his rather uncomfortable slumbler on the couch.

"Uhnn..." Mako groaned quietly in the pillow.

Looks like Korra wasn't better yet.

He slapped his arm on the coffee table, reaching for the phone and dialed blindly before placing the reciever on his ear.

"Republic City Police, Lin Beifong speaking."

"Hey...um Beifong? I'm really sorry, Korra's still really sick...i'm calling for an off." Mako slurred tiredly.

"Mako, I don't know why she cannot take care of herself. I will allow you to take an absent, but i expect you to be in shape when you do return." Lin said sternly,

"Yes Chief."

"Good. Now keep that sick Avatar in check. Goodbye."

The click was heard before a long tone rang in his ear, and Mako groggily turned the phone off, and walked out to Korra, laying in his bed.

She was rolled up in thick blankets, red faced.

Mako smiled, wiping his tired eyes before kneeling beside her.

Her eyes were scrunched shut as she sniffled loudly.

"Hey." Mako said gently, pressing his palm against her moist forhead. Still hot.

Korra opened her eyes. "Hi."

Mako rested his arm on the bed. "How are you feeling?"

Korra shook her head. "Still sick."

Mako smiled. "I'll make you tea. Try sitting up for me while you wait."

Korra yawned and nodded lazily before rolling around, and pushing herself up, barely breaking the cocoon of blankets around her.

He returned with a bowl of steamy vegetable soup, and was placed on a set up tray.

"Alright. Eat up," Mako gestured, as the flushed Korra resumed in her position.

"C-Can you feed me...? Please?" Korra blushed.

Mako chuckled. "Alright."

He dragged the spoon around in the soup before taking it back out, and blowing on it.

"Open up," Mako said, and Korra opened her mouth, feeling the scorching hot soup flush down her throat, leaving her spluttering.

"Are you okay, Korra?! Oh spirits I thought it was cooled down!"

Korra sniffled hard. "Its alright. I appreciate you resting with me for the day."

Mako took her spoom and dipped it back in the soup. "Of course. I'm staying here until you're feeling better."

He took the spoon out and sipped some soup himself, humming in satisfaction. "Tastes good. Its not that hot anymore i guess, so lets eat."

Mako awoke on the couch, and he felt lightheaded and stuffed.

Oh no.

Hopefully it was just a minor feeling of being tired, but he shook it off and slipped off the couch, to Korra in their bedroom.

Mako slipped under the covers and watched as Korra still slept. They had unwound the thick blankets around her to cool her heating temperature.

Her eyes opened. "I knew you were here."

Mako chuckled, before coughing dryly.

"Are you alright?"

Mako sniffed. "I'm fine."

Korra raised an eyebrow as her boyfriend repeatedly cleared his throat and coughed before getting into a minor fit of sniffling. Has he caught the flu?

"Mako, how did you get my sickness?"

Knowing he was caught, he collapsed onto the pillow. "It was probable because I used your spoon while I was cooling it down. I didnt wipe it after you used it."

Korra smiled, then laughed when Mako sneezed loudly, a slight blush on his cheeks. "Uhhgh."

"Awh...I'm sorry Mako. I still feel as horrible as I did yesterday though,"

Mako coughed again and smiled, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Its alright, we can be sick together."

Korra blew her nose. "Dork," she blushed before tossing the snotty tissue at Mako, nearly hitting him.

"Hey," Mako croaked.

In retaliation, Mako sneezed and grabbed a tissue almost instantly after, blowing loudly and messily, and Korra winced.

"Ahh!" Korra shrieked, as Mako tossed a wet kleenex at her face. "E-www," she giggled before coughing lightly again.

Their sick laughs died down as they lay in bed, on their backs and one of their hands intertertwined.

Korra looked up at Mako, who was sleeping beside her and she giggled softly, kissing him despite their flu.

To awake him, she reached for one of her snotty tissues that were scattered on the headboard and flicked it at his nose, and he opened his eyes, glaring at her.

Korra was like a child, as she cowered away, laughs growing as Mako mock-threatened her by moving closer to her.

"Don't make me sneeze on you." Mako murmured, as she laughed behind her hands, scooting away.

Mako pounced on her, grabbing her in his arms as she released peals of shrill laughter, as Mako jokingly growled into her shoulder.

"Please, haha!"

The two don't make any progress that day.
