Chapter One

After getting over my parents death, I managed to get a job at my all time favourite ice-cream shop so I could at least live somewhere reasonable. I'm not saying squatting with Lily was uncomfortable, but having to wake up every night to bail her outta jail was inconvenient. Not only that, she plays the most outrageous songs from her stereo-no offence to gangster rap. I even still have nightmares of fat belly-flapping men chasing me and ordering me to twerk. Luckily, she moving out and I have to find a new place...fast

Anyways, my agent has been able to find an apartment to my liking, the only problem been that I have to share it with a guy.

"I just left work Karen, text me the address and I'll be on my way" I hastily replied.

On reaching there I realised it wasn't the ideal place I had in mind. Why couldn't she just take up a side cafe or something, one with half rusty chairs with waiters wearing oversized uniforms? It had to be one of those five star restaurants with every freaking person dressed to impress. Pushing such thoughts aside,I decided to be happy, since I'm going to be getting a new place n all.

"Hi Karen, you look great" I whispered maybe yelled a little since people were giving me the 'eye'.Don't blame me, I'm really excited about the new house and nervous because I am a very clumsy person, now clumsy and chubby don't add up well.

"Em! you look...nice" we both know that's not true. Not that I was going to tell her that anyway.

"Why not let's get started on the real reason why we're here?" I know that sounded a little bit harsh, but you can't blame me though.

"Okay dear, well I was able to find a house to your liking. The kitchen, dining, game room, studio and of course the bedroom would be shared by you and your roommate who happens to be of the other gender also the original owners of the house have agreed to let you pay 10% every month since you're financially unstable." I couldn't be any happier, I mean the price is just within my budget range and I only get to share the kitchen, studio, bedr- wait WHAT THE FUDGE!

"Um Karen, did you just say I have to share MY bedroom with a complete stranger who happens to be male?"

"Oh my, well it's not really part of the agreement form, but if that's what you-"

"No I don't want that, well some people might find it okay I just don't um...I like keeping to myself especially after the incident so um I would prefer to keep things the way there are...if you don't mind" I was fully aware that I was rambling, it's something I do when I'm very uncomfortable.

"I understand dear, well you could move in today around five, Em promise me you'll take care of yourself...especially with a man around, I hear he's drop-dead gorgeous.

"Well, thanks for everything Karen, I would take GOOD care of my self" Hmph! here I was thinking she cared about me.

"Well I have to get going, do me a favour and finish those rolls. It's free so don't worry about your budget" Was I really that obvious?

"Yeah, bye" I didn't waste time in devouring the rolls which happens to be filled with chocolate. If it isn't already obvious, I love anything in chocolate. I was done in five seconds and I decided it was time to leave. Here comes the problem, how am I supposed to get up without causing any accidents, since I'm kind of a very clumsy person. Well here goes nothing, creak-breathe,creak-breathe and after about four rounds of creaking and breathing, I was able to free myself. Yay! I did a mental victory dance in my head.

"Hey, watch it fatso" I guess I was caught in my victory dance I didn't realize I bumped into a sweet couple.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't do it on purpose. I'm just really clumsy." I tried explaining to them when they threatened to call security.

"Honey just let it be, fat people are just like disabled people. I bet she's gonna try and pass through that door while holding onto the railing slowly so it won't break." He did not just say that! What a really fudged up couple. Carrying the remains of my dignity, I walked more like ran out and no, I didn't hold onto any stupid railing.

Checking the time, it was almost past five. Now I'm late, could this day get any worse? Hailing a cab, I quickly jumped shutting the door and gave him the address.

20 minutes later...

"Wake up ma'am, this is my first day of work. If I knew twas going to be this hard, I would've been a model" With that I woke up.

"I'm so sorry, I was just really tired" And I wasn't lying.

"Whatever, just get the hell outta ma cab" With that he drove off without a second glance. Well here goes nothing. The house didn't look bad, my sense of security won over so I went ahead to ring the bell.

Ding! no answer Ding! no answer. I was already contemplating on which garbage bag looked more comfy when the door open. Turning around to face him, he seemed so familiar. Those blue eyes, where had I seen them? and then it dawned on me. Fudge, I should've just moved with Lily and her gangster rap.

"Well Well Well, look who decided to pay me a visit, you must really be missing your parents Emily." Remember when I said today couldn't get any worse? I guess I was wrong cause' it just did.

************************************ Well this is like my first book on wattpad. I'm not much of a writer, but I wanted to give this a try. This was typed using my phone, so don't mind the errors and feel free to correct me if you like. I would continue the story if people/a person votes so that I'll know I'm writing for someone to read.
