Thalos made his way to the dragon's cavern. He had even brought two giant pieces of bore, instead of one. He figured, if the dragon was only eating what he brought it, then it wasn't getting a lot of food. Thalos was sure the beast was finding some way to hunt and eat, but he wanted to be certain. He didn't want it dying.

He secured the raft and started walking. However, as he started, he heard a roar and quick step beats behind him. He quickly turned around, only to see a large Monstrous Nightmare. It's black horns were at least a foot long. It's long neck was stretched out for better reach, and it's large wings were lifted up as it ran after him on its two legs. His heart raced. He dove out of the way of its jaws, just missing his head getting snapped off. Of course, the meat he was carrying fell off of his shoulders and the dragon went to those and quickly ate them up.

Thalos went to grab his axe, but was disappointed when he realized he had left it at his hut. He didn't want to appear like a threat to the Xeno'jiiva, so he left it. He quickly got up and slowly backed away down the cave. However, the dragon only saw him as more food. It roared and chased after him. Thalos started running.

He yelled in hopes of making enough noise to disorient the burgandy Monstrous Nightmare. Of course, mere yelling didn't work at all. The dragon started blasting its flames at the unfortunate Viking. Thalos was getting burned at bit in the back, but he ignored it and kept running.

His heart was pounding at his chest. He could feel every beat. The yelling he was producing probably wasn't making the giant blue dragon that lived here happy. He really hoped that thing would stay asleep. He didn't need an angry dragon behind him as well as in front of him. He would be dead meat if that were the case. As he turned his head around to see how close the attacking dragon was, he tripped on one of the fallen crystals and crashed down to the ground. He landed hard and shouted in pain, holding his arm.

The Nightmare roared and jumped into the air, spreading out its wings. Thalos covered his face from the impact that was about to befall him. He cringed at the thought of the beast's massive talons digging and ripping at his skin. He imagined the large teeth impaling his body-it was horrifying. However, suddenly a large blue head swung, hitting the Monstrous Nightmare and slamming it against the cavern wall.

Thalos gasped for air in surprise and watched as the massive Xeno'jiiva quickly approached the fallen Monstrous Nightmare. It gave a loud, deafening roar and bashed the dragon with its tail. The Monstrous Nightmare tried to get up and flee, but the blue dragon hit it with its head again.

The Xeno'jiiva was massive in comparison to the burgundy Nightmare. The icey-colored dragon roared again, spreading its giant wings. The caverns shook and the Monstrous Nightmare started to get up and fly away.

The Xeno'jiiva had other plans though. The roars from the large dragon were, in fact, loud enough to disorient the Monstrous Nightmare. Due to this making the dragon's flying wobbly and slow, when the Xeno'jiiva chased after the dragon, it caught up to it within a couple seconds. Once it was close enough, it didn't hesitate to grab the smaller dragon with its mouth and start bashing it against the ground. It didn't take to long after that for the creature to become limp and lifeless.

The blue dragon then put its claw on half of the dead Monstrous Nightmare's body and grabbed its head with its mouth. That was when it started ripping the dragon apart and eating it.

Thalos cringed and soon looked away. Then the thought hit him.. Did the Xeno'jiiva come out to protect him, get rid of a dragon intruder, want revenge for eating its food, or did it get angry at all the noise? Was he next? Was he about to become like that dead dragon!?

Thalos stood up and watched the dragon lick it's mouth and claws clean. There was literally nothing left of the Monstrous Nightmare, aside from a few piles of blood. Of course, the dragon was happily licking it up.

The Xeno'jiiva turned and looked at Thalos. He put is hands up, hoping to show the beast that he wasn't a threat. This hurt his arm though, so he cringed and recoiled his hands back down. The dragon stalked over. It kept its head low to the ground, watching him carefully. Thalos decided the best option was to just not move. He swallowed as the dragon's face nudged his chest, and then his arm. He cringed, but still stays motionless. The dragon took a step closer and looked Thalos over. It gave a single lick to one of his shoulders, not to be affectionate, but because it could smell the bore that he had previously been carrying.

The dragon snorted and lifted its head up. A part of Thalos wanted to touch it, but he didn't dare to. He really didn't feel like loosing an arm or something. He swallowed and walked away from the dragon, who was looking at him. He found a spot and sat down. He pulled out his journal and looked at the beast.

It was now slowly approaching him, it's head low and its strides long. Thalos made as little movements as possible as he wrote down a description of the animal's strides and movements. This was growing difficult because of his arm. Thor.. this was still horrifying, no matter how often he came here.

He was still a bit shaken up from the Monstrous Nightmare encounter. So, he was quite weary of the beast. He still wasn't sure if the animal had done what it did to save him, or if it was for some other reason.

He was now just starting to feel the pains and soreness of his mildly burned back. Chances are his tunic was singed. At least there wasn't a giant hole. That was better than nothing.

The dragon stretched its neck about a foot away from Thalos. The blue beast looked him over, smelling and watching him. Thalos was going to write something down, but the dragon let out a small growl. Of course, that was enough to keep Thalos from moving.

The Xeno'jiiiva looked at him for a few seconds more before stepping back and lifting its head. The creature snorted and turned around, walking back to its usual spot. It laid down and placed its head on the ground.

Thalos hesitated a moment before carefully and "casually" moving closer to the dragon. He wanted to be able to get a closer look at it. He also wanted to hopefully gain its trust. He crawled closer and closer until he was sitting around 20 feet from the actual dragon. He figured it would be in his best interest to not move any closer.

Thalos could feel the dragon staring at him. He tried to ignore it and stay in his own thoughts. Perhaps this dragon would be in the Boulder Class? It did seem to use its head and tail a lot when it was going against the Monstrous Nightmare.

But.. it's flame was nothing like a Boulder Class dragon. Those beams of hot energy it had given off the first time he met it more closely resembled that of the Strike Class. Thalos scratched the back of his neck. Maybe the Mystery Class? It certainly was mysterious. Yeah... he might just label it as that. It seemed to resemble both the Strike and Boulder Class.

He now knew that the animal had no problem eating another dragon, so that was probably a good thing to write down. He spent the rest of the time watching and observing the dragon, writing down all he could.
