seokjin shut his eyes briefly before shuffling a bit. he was not okay. but he knew the answer would upset the younger. it would cause yoongi to cling onto him, until he found what the reason was to his unhappiness.

he bit his lip, "just a lil tired yoon." yoongi visibly calmed as the words were spoken.

jin knew he had let go of an opportunity to spend more time with the younger, but he thought he would need to start distancing himself.

if such a small incident would bother him so much, how would he cope if yoongi started to date someone? just the thought made him cringe. it was either tell yoongi about his feelings towards him, or distancing himself. he concluded that the latter was easier.

"hyung?"

he hummed in response, looking down to see him — kitten eyes looking straight up. it was hard to keep his face from flushing.

"can i, sleep with you?" the younger asked, tilting his head slightly with his lips slightly pouted and eyes wide.

distancing himself will be hard. all his effort to keep from blushing was useless. his face was red, and if it weren't for the dark, yoongi would've put him to bed and have checked his temperature.

"s-sure yoongi" jin stammered, his heart dangerously clamoring against his chest.

he watched as yoongi crawled into his bed. mentally thanking the fact that the younger was so much smaller than him. he couldn't help but grin as he watched the boy cuddle up to him. the top of his head was tucked under jin's chin, he brought an arm up and combed his fingers through the soft hair.

when seokjin was sure he was asleep, he placed a gentle kiss on his head. maybe i won't distance myself.
