"Ew I hate this song", Emily states as she changes the station for the fifth time in the last ten minutes.
"You hate good music", complained Bree.
"No I hate your music", Emily laughed her typical blonde valley girl laugh, proud of her pathetic comeback.
"You guys can just drop me off right now because I will probably be dead by the time we reach New York", I declare, annoyed with my two closest friends already.
"Oh Annabelle you know you are just as exited as everyone else, besides I hear New York is like no other place in this country!", exclaimed Emily. She was right, I had to admit I was really excited. But with excitement comes nerves. And damn if I wasn't nervous.
And 16 hours of driving filled with music blasting from the car and that damn redhead's occasional screams out the window went by and we had arrived at our destination, The Village Apartments and Condominiums.
"What's that smell?", Emily asks a look of pure disgust taking over her face.
"That's New York, get used to it", Bree answers seemingly unaffected by the stench filling the air.
Opening the back trunk I start to regret packing all of the clothes I own. I had seven boxes just for my clothes. "It's going to be a long night", I sigh.
"Well you know what they say," Bree starts, "the city never sleeps."
