I sat down on the couch waiting for them to tell me "things I should know about Harry" as Niall put it. I didn't really need to know anything. I had all the information about him I needed to know. He was a dick. Although I still wanted to know why he suddenly remembered his date and why it seemes as though he could care less about pretty much everything, all I really wanted to do was sleep.
"You know what? I'm really tired. I won't be able to remember any of this in the morning, so you guys should just go. I'm not really up for this toni-"
"No, of course. We understand," Niall said slightly interrupting me.
"We understand that you're completely bullshitting us." Zayn continued.
Zayn and Niall took a step closer and made me swear that I would show up to their apartment tomorrow morning so we could "discuss" the topic of Harry.
"I expect you to bring some breakfast and coffee since you are delaying the only interesting thing we have going for us right now," Niall said, his voice sounding full of pride for finding a plus to the situation I put them in.
"It's also cool if you want to stop by the store and get us a few things. Here just take the list I am about to write up," Zayn says, only adding to my list of my things to do tomorrow.
"You guys live in the Village right?" I asked hoping it was within walking distance.
"Ya. We are right down the street," Zayn and Niall say together. I stood up from the couch after they started grabbing their stuff.
"Why wouldn't you guys just live here it's the cheapest apartment complex in the city," I say looking around at the tiny apartment, realizing why it was so cheap.
"You're right Annabelle, it's just so roomy!" Zayn said sarcastically. He handed me a list of the basic things all guys want in their apartment. Food and condoms.
"Ya, so we live close, just not as close as Harry." Niall stated, purposely leaving out information so I would ask.
"Where does Harry live?" I asked anyways.
Niall's face held a look of triumph. He looked over to Zayn and smiled smugly.
"Well wouldn't you like to know," Niall said, having fun with the little game he was playing.
Zayn sighed, "For Christ's sake Niall. Harry lives right across the hall."
-
I opened the door for them as they walked out of the apartment. We stood right next to the stair case in the middle of the hall.
"This was a lot of fun tell Bree I said thank you when she wakes up." Niall said, being the gentleman he is.
"For the party or for the kiss?" I asked, teasing the blonde.
Niall blushed and muttered something that was too hard for me to hear because of his thick Irish accent. Zayn walked up and thanked me and gave me his number to give to Emily.
"She's innocent you know. If you hurt her I swear to God, Zayn-" I started, being interrupted by Zayn.
"I know I would never hurt her I just want to see if she likes me," Zayn said sounding a little embarrassed?
"Screw it. I don't care just tell her I said I had fun," Zayn mumbled and ran his hand through his hair. No way in hell am I not going to tell Emily that this man was interested in her.
I laughed. Mainly at his embarrassement, slightly at his nerves.
"Ok. So I'll come over around 10?" I asked, finalizing our plans.
"10 sounds great," Niall said as he hugged me and thanked me.
After Zayn hugged me goodbye, they started making their way down the staircase.
"I like my coffee black!" Zayn shouted.
I started laughing. They were nice guys, I had to admit. I turned around to open back up the door but it was locked. I forgot it locked automatically when it closes. Luckily I had a spare key down in our car, so I didn't have to wake up Bree or Em.
I walked back up the staircase after getting the keys, but stopped as I got to my floor.
There in front of the room across from mine was Harry and what must be Gabby, back from their date.
"I really like you too Gabby, it's just I really need some time to figure things out with me. You understand?" Harry asked, obviously breaking up with her.
"Of course Harry. You have my number to call whenever you want to hang out. I really think that we could be really great together," she said completely oblivious of the overused break-up line.
"Ya, me too. I'll see you around Gabby. You know the way down to the lobby right?" Harry asked implying he didn't want to walk her to her car. Here he is breaking up with her and he doesn't want to "waste his time" walking her to her car. What a dick.
"Um, yeah sur-"
"Great. Bye now." He said, dismissing her.
Gabby started walking towards the stairs, so I acted as if I just walked up. She looked slightly confused and I felt bad. He just dumped her. Harshly. She walked past me, smiled, and waved. She really is completely oblivious.
"That was a seriously douche move," I said, deciding to confront him after she was gone.
He turned around. "What?" He asked, looking as though nothing just happened.
"You're never going to call her again. You could at least be honest and say you're a scumbag."
"Well," he started, "what can I say. It's been a month."
What?
"I don't even want to ask, so have a nice night Harry," I said not up for a long conversation with him.
"Goodnight Annie."
"Don't call me that," I said then closed my apartment door.
"Okay Annie. It was certainly a pleasure meeting you. See you later neighbor," he smirked, eyeing me up and down.
I stood there shocked after he closed his door.
I couldn't sleep. I was dreading tomorrow. So far Harry was just as I expected. A selfish, conceited asshole.
