Alone and plain you see
I'm alone but that's okay
Sometimes I just wish I had someone to play
I'm just me
They say happiness is the key
But I'm afraid because I'm sad
Do I not have happiness?
Did I do something bad?
I'm just me
Is there something wrong with me?
I'm so depressed
Some days I barely have the energy to get dressed
I'm just me
It's plain to see
So I'll throw on a smile
And fake it for a while
Because I'm just me
That's all I'll ever be
