Chapter 2

"So where are we going?",

"It's a surprise". Mary told me the tenth time. I was curious. I hated being left out.

"Some few minutes to our destination", Daphne whispered.

"Can't you just tell me where we are headed?". I asked again

"No can do...... Relax girl...", Maria replied.

The car came to a halt. Then we all shouted, "No!!!".

After getting out of the car, we waited for someone to help us but it seemed people hardly used the route we took. Few minutes later, a black Mercedes Benz CLS pulled up. The atmosphere around us, or should I say the atmosphere I was experiencing some few minutes ago changed.
Out of the car came this handsome guy. I wouldn't have been surprised if he were related to Regé-Jean Page. His face looked as if it was carefully and perfectly sculpted..... Damn... I was zupposed to be healing and taking a break from dating but here I was, admiring this guy I knew nothing about. Well, it wasn't my fault he wore a v-neck vest that showed his muscles,which were to die for. His body stature was the perfect description for a Greek god. He had curly brown hair and mesmerising eyes. He looked too cute for a guy and that made me stare at him longer than I intended to. But there was one thing.

He looked familiar.

"Hi, Esme", he said.

Wow, I guess this was my fairytale. For a hot guy like that to know me, oh my gosh, I was sure that was the work of my fairy godmother.

I couldn't stop wondering how he got to know my name when Maria whispered into my ear.

"He's Zeke".

I mentally slapped my forehead with my hand. How come I never noticed him??. How could I forget the one person who defended me when my cheating ass ex was ruining my name.... I thanked him for everything and for helping us fix the car, then we continued our journey.

An old detached house. It had not been used by the family since we moved to Accra. But the place looked neat. I was so sure the girls asked my parents abiut the house and got it cleaned up. ...It was a one story building with seven rooms. The kitchen, two bathrooms and three bedrooms with one master bedroom.
The largest bedroom was upstairs it had its own bathroom and a tv. And that was the one I settled for.

After unpacking, we met in the living room to enjoy some netflix shows. As huge fans of kdramas, we settled for the latest one, titled, King The Land".

Halfway throught the second episode Maria coughed and started interrogating me about Zeke.

" Tell us what you think about Zeke, cause we saw the way you looked at him and I could feel the chemistry going on between you two."

"Chemistry??, It was nothing. I've already told you I'm not interested. Well he is a sight to behold, that, I won't deny but you both know I need a break. I will just call him and thank him once again and maybe treat him to a friendllllllyyyyyy lunch....", I say, emphasizing on the friendly.

"Ooou",they both tease.

"Girls!!!".

"You guys exchanged contacts, and we didn't see. Guess you did other things we didn't see."Maria said as she winked at Daphne.

"Come on. Its nothing. And don't be nuaghty", I tell them, finding their behaviour quite funny because I knew I would get them.

They both cough.

"He's a cool guy",Daphne says.

"And a keeper.", Maria adds.

"Enough I'm going to bed. I'm so tired. "

"Alright, dream about your knight in shining armour",Maria continued to tease me as they laughed their ass out.

Ignoring them, I walked to my room, lied on my bed and took my phone out... Trust me I didn't know how it happened but I ended up on Zeke,'s instagram page and I liked a photo..... Oh no!. It wouldn't have been a big deal if it were a recent picture but it was from years back. Hoping he did not see it, I unliked the post and went to bed.

I didn't know why, but I woke up all of a sudden and realised it was dark. My phone read 1:30am. I knew the reason I woke up was I had a nightmare because I was sweating and my heart was beating at a faster rate but I couldn't remember what it was about.......
