Chapter 5

That was the second time I saw her in his arms today....... The way he looked at her was the same way she looked at him.... I could tell he had feelings for her but couldn't say same for her.

It felt good to see her this afternoon I was filled with joy......

*EARLIER THAT AFTERNOON*
I thought of how she felt embarrassed and bolted for Maria's car when her stomach growled....... She looked so shy that I couldn't stop smiling....

I wanted to go after her but got engaged in a conversation..... A few minutes later, I saw her approach us.... I excused myself and headed towards her... As I got closer, a kid crossed her path, I reached out my hand to catch her but I wasn't quick enough so she fell in Dadson's arms.....

Quickly retreating my hand, I placed them in my pocket and left for my car as I waved Maria and Daphne from outside the restaurant.
I sat in my car, lost in my thoughts. Thinking about everything and nothing.... I had spent quite some time in my car just thinking and making some business calls then I found out I didn't have my key with me. I went back to the restaurant I ate at... I was sure I left it on the table I ate on. Before I left restaurant after grabbing my keys, my eyes wandered around and I found  Esme in Dadson's arms once again... She had passed out..... Worry began to set in... I felt uneasy seeing him with her because I was getting jealous but I  assured myself she'll be alright since her friends were around and with that I left for home....

Esme's POV.
Lost in my own world, I'm just wandering about since I have nowhere to go. What was I doing here???... I keep walking but it seems this place has no end... The whole place seems dark... How I'm able to see is a mystery....

I see a fire truck in front of our home trying to put out the fire..... The sounds of the honking cars grow louder as the number of trucks and cars increase..... My ears keep hurting..... I scream but no one hears me.... keep on hearing a voice saying, "Please wake up, I  need you to be complete. I  disappeared, you've also got to go. Just join me sister". I turn to every direction looking for the someone or anyone who can see or hear me then I see a light overcoming the darkness... I'm blinded by the light... That's when my eyelids feel heavy and I open my eyes...

"She's awake", I hear someone say.

"The nurse is in", another voice responds.

"She went into shock after receiving bad news... She needs enough rest to fully recover..... She looks too stressed and depressed which is also not good . I don't know what she has been up to or what news is bothering her but she needs to take things slowly and relax a bit.... With that she left and came back again " She'll be discharged tomorrow, have a nice day" and she went out the door...

" How long have I been out??"

"Twelve hours"

"How did I end up here??"

"Dadson brought you here in his car and just as  Maria said you've been out for twelve hours."

"We want to help you baby girl, tell us what's wrong."

"It's not easy, Maria... Just the thought of it disturbs me."

"Just try us". Daphne convinces me.

So I tell them about my nightmare , and the question the woman at the restaurant asked me.

"Don't worry, . We will figure this out. We're all in this together".

"Thanks guys".

"Well Dadson left his contact. He said he wanted to see how you'd show your appreciation. I saved his contact on your phone.", Daphne informed me.

"I can tell he's so full of himself."

It's been a week since I was discharged from the hospital. I spent my afternoon at the spa and jewelry shop. It was almost seven and we were going out...... We were going to the night fun park, Adorale.

"I'm ready let's get going".

"I need help with my make-up,Esme",Maria complains.

"And I need help with my hairstyle",Daphne pleads....

"Then help each other out", I tease...

"No", they both scream....

After an hour, I had managed to style Daphne's hair and do Maria's makeup. Heading towards Adorale, we did our usual thing and  sang on top of our voice to Praise by Elevation worship...

Adorale had the perfect scenery... The place was so friendly and filled with both kids and adults like my girls and I.

After getting some cotton candy, we went for the ferris wheel. I just couldn't stop screaming since we chose the fastest ride. Coming out of the ferris wheel, I remembered I had to inform my parents about where I was, not that they even cared but I just wanted to. Feeling a little dizzy from the ride, I pulled my phone from my jeans and mistakenly tap on dickhead instead of dad. Oh no!. Before I could end the call, my phone decided to stop functioning and the call was went through. My luck, arrrrgh.  He answered my call on the third ring and my phone miraculously started working... Way to go!!!!.

"Hey Esme."

"Errh how did you...."

"I took your contact from your friends."

"Ooh... Alright."

"Any problem, anything to say??"

"No."

"Then why did you call??"

"It was a mistake."

"I know you miss me.. I'm irresistible you know it right??"

"Shut  up."

"You know it right??"

Before I could respond I bumped into someone and my phone fell...
